I start the actual work for my new job. My old one, one I had worked towards, for more than a decade, was suddenly, taken.
So, am starting, again, at 52, in a job I:
Know nothing about.
Never, asked for.
Is not, of my choosing.
Wish, I could end, before even starting.
My nerves, are completely:
Shot.
Frayed.
Asking, “What in the fresh hell!?”
Nevertheless, I stand.
However, I am grateful, for:
The opportunity to:
Grow.
Fail.
Fall.
Laugh.
Love.
Give.
Receive.
I told my nerves, you are going to work, with me, today.
You don’t run this show!
GOD, runs this.
