Thanksgiving is coming.
Mom is not…
‘Nuff said.
*sigh*

Holidays are rough. Especially Thanksgiving. Mom was a holiday person. Today was hard. Wanted to stay in bed and comfort eat. Alas, the bills won’t get paid that way. So, I put on my big girl panties, turned on the lights, and got on with it.
Am waiting for the day to end. Want to crawl in bed and comfort eat. Sounds like a plan. Yet, think I will just talk a bit with mom, instead. Then, I shall rise, again, tomorrow, and go through another day, without mom. Hopefully, tomorrow will be easier than today.
Keep going, all. We got this. Even on the hard, I don’t want to do this days. We got this…

We got this. xo

Oh, Cassandra, that one hits right where it hurts. So much said in a few words. I feel the loss and the absence of my mum most on those special days, too. I know she’ll always be in my heart, always close and still it hurts. The pain also brings up lots of bright and cheerful memories, little treasures from the past that keep me going in the present. Gone, but not forgotten.

This soothed my troubled soul! I just needed a MOMENT to be a child missing her mom. Thanks for letting me be human for a bit. We got this. Perhaps our moms up in Heaven having tea and coffee together, eh? We got this.
