Brita,
My! You sure are awfully wiggly, running around, in my pocket. Apparently, you have found something to entertain you in there. I think I left some chocolate minis for the last visitor I had there. I also left some books and puzzles laying around. Can’t very well be a poor hostess, can I?
Anywho, I asked mom to keep you company, whilst I piddle through my work day. Mom and I have been huddling, trying to figure out what would be of comfort to you, just now. Mom says tell you, Brita, that all will be okay, says tell you that YOU shall be okay. She knows the hurt of a daughter missing her mum.
I told mom, Brita, that you may not be up to cheer from across the world. She told me to shush and do as she says. So, am doing as mom says. Looking out for your heart, best I can, from across the world.
Be encouraged, Brita, be encouraged, beloved. Yes, the missing gets super tough around holidays. Memories tend to want to chase us round, begging to be seen, heard and acknowledged….*sigh*.
I have been scrounging around, in my heart, to see what words I can possibly find there that would be of a comfort. Alas, I don’t find very many there, nowadays. The hole in my own heart is much, much too big, at this time of year. Perhaps the comforting words have fallen through the hole in my own heart. All I can think to do, Brita, is to climb in there, there in my pocket, and keep you a bit of company. Not talking. Not much can be said that would be of help anywho, eh? Also, I fear you may yet well pry out my chili recipe and my lips are sealed.
If you like, feel free lay your head upon my shoulder. Be sure to keep the noise down. Must be mindful of these noisy neighbors.
Moms sure can rip a hole, in the whole wide world, when they go, can’t they? Be sure and cut yourself some slack as you make your way. Be ok with not being ok if not ok. Be ok with being ok if you are ok. Be ok with however you are feeling, not feeling, don’t feel like feeling, at the moment. We don’t have to got this portion of our lives. The missing mom/mum portion. We shall let God and Life figure that out whilst we try or not try to figure ourselves out, shall we? I have your back. You don’t have to have mine. Tell you what, let us sit, back to back, and lean upon one another, okay?…hmm…your sweater is itchy! Take care and be encouraged…
trying to find how to fill my hole,
Cassandra

What a nice thought, we’ll get each other through the festive season, with a little help from our mums… Must make introductions at some point. Although, I have a sneaky suspicion that there’s a whole mum network up there, keeping an eye on us. I’ve certainly learned that mum’s are never gone. She’s always with me, one way or another, the way your is still with you. I take great comfort in that.

Mum network! I like the sound of that. Must ask mom about this! Be encouraged and stop wiggling so much in there!….lol….
