It is sho nuff true that bad news travels fast.
Good news? Not so fast. Good news seems to trickle in at it’s own slow self time…*sigh*.
But, bad news. Really bad news comes a bounding in, jumps on your bed, in the middle of blissful sleep and peace and wops you upside the head hollering and carrying on and just a wailing away to get you to look, LOOK! at all the devastation that is fixing to devastate you and take everything and do all manner of only God knows what!!!
Ah, there is the rub. God DOES know. Knows exactly what is going on. God sees what you can not. God knows what you not. God knows that what absolutely terrifies us is the not knowing. We can deal with the what in the world is this happenings. We just find it maddening, terrifying not knowing what in the world is happening?!
Beloveds, what fear and anxiety forget to tell you is that you always have help, support, love, care, joy, peace, safety, security, comfort and ALL that you need waiting for you. Waiting for you to receive it. Waiting for you to ask for what you need. Waiting for you to activate and walk in your faith, in faith.
Yeppers, even folks who don’t know the Lord are prayed for and cared for by God. He loves us all. Even those of us who are hard headed or who have been hurt by supposed lovers of God so they don’t trust Him. Even those who don’t believe He even exist. Yep, ALL of us are within earshot, within grasp, within a shoulder to lean On.
Peace, be still. This is what Jesus told the winds and the rain when they were kicking up and making all kinds of fuss as He was in the boat, with folks, travelling to the other side. When we are asked to go, with Him, to the other side, He knows full well we SHALL make it. To the other side. It’s why Jesus was chilling and taking a nap whilst all kinds of storm foolishness kicked up trying to scare folks into thinking they were about to sink!
“We fixing to sink, Lord! Why the world would you be down there sleeping!?? Don’t You KNOW we fixing to sink and gonna die!???”.
Yet, there Jesus slept. Why? Cuz He knew that God, The Father, was watching everyone’s back. And, when told to get on over to the other side that all would make it to the other side. Simple as that….*shrug*.
Making the storms of our lives settle down is NOT our jobs, folks. Our jobs are to say but three words and keep it moving:
Peace, be still!
Then, be still and KNOW He is God. Simple as that….*shrug*.
How great is that?????!!!
Tell doubts to shut up. Tell fear and anxiety to take two seats.
Tell yourself you got this because He got this and keep a going.
