It’s okay to cry.

It’s okay to cry. Good thing as for the past two days I have had to use my last break to have a good five minute crybaby session.

Why?

Life has been acting a fool, workwise. And, the more I have prayed, the harder work has become.

In years past, I would have forced myself to ignore my tears, work harder, and be about being about it.

Okay, real talk, I would have stuffed these tears with a Party Size bag of Doritos and a handful of Snickers.🤷‍♀️

I have learned, still learning not to find comfort in things not healthy for me and to have the courage to admit that I ain’t aite and I ain’t all that, if you know what I mean.

Life is short, beloved. Time you and I stop running our hearts in the ground and running ourselves ragged trying to meet expectations we can never fully meet.

I let my boss know I am doing the best I can. And, that’s all I can do.

Do what you can.

Have a cry.

Drink a cup of your fave coffee.

Phone a friend(I phoned TWO friends and one twin. Cried all over sis🤣❤. Didn’t even say hello. Just got to crying. Break was only 15 minutes so no time to spare explaining that I needed to cry).

Read a book.

Read a bible.

Make an omelette.

Do some laundry.

The point is, you ain’t helpless. Your situation is NOT hopeless. Yea, it may be getting on your last nerve’s nerve. The good news is you are not alone.

Your circumstances are not a surprise. Just to you. Us grownups do not care for life surprises. We want things to go as we want them to. Doesn’t Life KNOW who he is dealing with? Why, we are the moon and the stars. Life should come running at our whim.

Til it does, be encouraged.

We got this.

And, when we don’t got this we are STILL enough. Period. We are so much then what we have, what we do, what we wear, what we look like, who we know, who we don’t know, what we don’t have and on and on.

Easter is coming. Your very life was worth the death of a King. How much more priceless can you and I be?

teary but thankful,

Cassandra
