Grief won’t leave me alone tonight.
It has been stalking me. Silently. All day. I thought it was just me feeling a bit lost. A bit lonely.
It’s not that. It’s grief. She is familiar. She has been stalking me since mom passed away. I am tired of running from her.
She is cunning. She knows when to slide into my life. Trying to snatch the joy and light from my life.
I yell at her to leave me be.
She laughs. Yes, grief laughs. She thinks she has won.
It feels as if she has won.
God whispers for me to keep going. I tell Him that I am too tired to crawl on His Lap tonight. I lay where I am. I know not where I am.
Just know that I am tired of running from grief.
I will NOT run. I invite grief in for a cup of coffee. Just one. Then, I shall send her on her way.
*sigh*
Grief and I had coffee. I told to go. She said she would return. I told her I shall deal with that on another day. I told her it’s time for her to go. Tomorrow is another day. I have a life to live.
I think I shall make the jello I have not had the energy to make all day. I want my jello tomorrow. I shall let nothing keep me from keeping on.
*Cassandra takes apathy by the hand to go make jello. Sad asked if she could come too as she was a bit lonely. Cassandra took apathy and sad into the kitchen to make some jello. Tomorrow would be here soon.*
To be continued…
