YOU ARE STILL HERE — AND HERE IS A PLACE
Beloveds,
We made it to Friday.
Not everybody arrived triumphantly.
Somebody crawled.
Somebody coasted.
Somebody changed the plan four times.
Somebody did the bare minimum and had to call that enough.
Somebody surprised themselves.
Somebody is still waiting for the thing they hoped would change this week.
Welcome.
This week we talked about rest, beginning again, voice, agency, and joy.
None of those subjects requires a perfect ending by Friday afternoon.
Life is not a weekly television episode.
Sometimes the victory is not resolution.
Sometimes the victory is presence.
Psalm 118:24 says, “This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.” KJV
For me, that rejoicing does not mean denying what hurts.
It means this day still contains life.
If you do not share my belief, I hope you can still receive this:
Your unfinished life is not an unworthy life.
🔑 You do not have to wait until everything is fixed to belong here.
You matter to me.
Bring the wheelchair.
Bring the cane.
Bring the running shoes.
Bring the grief.
Bring the laughter.
Bring the questions.
Bring the faith.
Bring the doubt.
Bring yourself.
There is a chair.
Tomorrow, I am going to the movies. 🍿🎬
And we are going to see what we see.
Asking for A Friend,
Cassandra
