☀️ Sunday Morning with My Bestie and me — Progress Doesn’t Have to Look Perfect | October 25, 2026 · 9 AM

Card 1: Cassandra shares a peaceful Sunday morning with two golden dogs, coffee and a sunrise; My Bestie and Me, progress does not have to look perfect.

Beloveds, good Sunday morning! ☀️💜

Beloveds, please forgive this morning’s late post! We had technical difficulties: I was arguing with my AI partner over the cards! 🤣💜

Come on in. My Bestie Jesus and me have pulled up our chairs, and we saved one for you. Of course, the two dogs seem to think ALL the chairs belong to them. 🐕🐶🤣

I brought a playlist this morning with a message we can carry through the day: progress doesn’t have to look perfect.

Oh, beloveds! Some days progress makes an entrance with music, dancing, and a whole celebration. Other days it arrives quietly, asking where we put the coffee. ☕️

Either way, I’m still here. Still learning. Still growing. And my Bestie is still Jesus. 💜

I can bring Him a joyful noise. I can bring Him a tired whisper. I can bring Him an honest question, a laugh, or a prayer I haven’t figured out how to finish. I don’t have to dress my progress up before I sit with Him.

Hard might show up with a clipboard. Fear might ask whether today’s effort counts. Doubt might request a recount. 🗳️🤣 But none of them gets to tell me that being loved depends on looking perfect.

Mirror 🪞, come closer. I want us to see people with grace, not with a ruler. And Dance 💃🏿? Well, Dance is already dancing because dancing is JOY. She doesn’t need an audience or an explanation!

Maybe today your progress is taking a step. Maybe it is resting. Maybe it is apologizing. Maybe it is choosing to try again. Maybe it is remembering to treat yourself with the same tenderness you freely offer everybody else.

When I say My Bestie, beloveds, I mean Jesus. He isn’t waiting for a polished version of me to be worthy of His love. I can come to Him as I am.

That is where I want us to begin today. We don’t have to compete for grace. We can walk together, encourage one another, and laugh along the way. There’s room at this table for you, too.

And we’re only beginning our Sunday conversation! At noon, Heart Check gives my voice room to be heard. At 6 PM, Soul Matters looks more deeply at the way the world hears Black women’s voices. Mind, heart, and soul. Three rooms. One home. 💜

Thoughts from Cassandra

Beloveds, we do not always recognize our own progress while we’re living it. I want us to make room for grace, for truth, and for the courage it takes simply to keep showing up. Talk to Jesus about where you really are. He already knows, and He cares.

💜 Today’s Love Challenge: Encourage one person without measuring their progress against yours. Say, “I see you trying, and it matters.” Then offer yourself that very same kindness.

💬 Come talk to me! What is one small bit of progress you want to celebrate today? Tell us in the comments, share this with someone who needs a little love, and subscribe so we can keep meeting at True North, Heart Check, and Soul Matters.

loving me some you, Cassandra 💜
