Dear Universe,
I am ready.
Ready, for my boo.
Ready, to share my goof.
Ready, to laugh/rejoice, with my soulmate(s).
Ready, for my life partner(s).
Ready, for friends who will love them some me, as much as I love me some them.
Ready, to share Jesus with some folk who are Jesus with skin on.
Ready, to be among eagles, not chickens who are too afraid to live, to laugh, to love the Lord, with me.
Ready, to be around folks who will cheer me on, as I get my health together, whilst love me as I am, physical-wise: white haired, a bit baldy, black, plenty of junk in the trunk, missing a tooth but full of so much love, compassion, joy, integrity, yiipppees, empathy, support, faithfulness and too many things to be contained with words, that I have to give away as much as I can to not waste them, on the daily.
Ready, to live the rest of my life, LIVING for the REST OF MY LIFE.

Please know, I no longer toss around this jewel, known as my heart, lightly. You shall respect her. You shall honor her. You shall cherish her. As I do. I don’t expect you to treat me in any way other than how I treat myself.
In return, I promise to love you the best way I know how. I promise to give you 100 percent of me. Some days, I will be tired and won’t have all to give to you. However, I DO promise to give 100 percent of what I have, on the day.
I promise to make you laugh, on the regular. I promise to collect your tears and protect them as the priceless treasure they are. I promise to have a shoulder that is ever ready for you to lean on. I promise to give a boot, to your rear, liberall, as needed to help you keep some act right.
Mostly, I promise to care. I do. I will.
Together, let’s build and forge friendship(s) to sustain us for the rest of our lives.
