NEW DAY, NEW POSSIBILITIES
COME WRITTEN ON.
Note: This piece has me dreaming out loud….🥰💃🏿❤️
Beloveds,
Bring the pages.
All of them.
The beautiful paragraphs.
The crossed-out sentences.
The chapter you wish you had written differently.
The page somebody else scribbled on without your permission.
The part where you knew better and did it anyway.
The part where you didn’t know better.
The prayers.
The mistakes.
The laughter.
The grief.
The faith.
The questions.
The places where the ink ran because tears landed on the page.
Bring.
The.
Pages.
Because when I say new day, new possibilities, I am NOT telling you to pretend yesterday never happened.
New does not mean never happened.
Whew.
Sometimes we talk about new beginnings as though somebody hands us a perfectly white sheet of paper and says:
“Okay. Start over.”
But life doesn’t usually work like that.
We arrive at tomorrow already written on.
We carry history.
We carry memories.
We carry consequences.
We carry wisdom.
We carry scars.
We carry names.
We carry people.
We carry things we survived.
We carry things we enjoyed so much that remembering them makes us smile before we even realize we’re smiling.
And yes—
sometimes we carry things we would change if God handed us a time machine and said:
“Go.”
I know I would.
But Revelation 21:5 says:
“Behold, I make all things new.” — Revelation 21:5 KJV
Notice something.
It says make new.
Not pretend the old never existed.
That distinction matters to me.
Because I don’t need a faith that requires amnesia.
I need a faith strong enough to meet me on a page that already has writing on it.
📖 YOUR STORY IS NOT RUINED
Somebody needs this today:
A marked-up page is not a ruined book.
Read that again.
A marked-up page is not a ruined book.
You made a mistake?
Turn the page.
Somebody hurt you?
That matters.
Turn the page when you are ready.
Something didn’t work?
Learn what you can.
Turn the page.
Something DID work?
Celebrate it!
Underline that thing.
Put a star beside it.
Circle it three times.
Write:
DO MORE OF THIS.
😂🥰
Because we spend so much time studying what went wrong that sometimes we forget to study what went right.
Your story contains more than your worst chapter.
And it contains more than your hardest one.
It also contains tenderness.
Growth.
Ridiculous laughter.
Lessons.
People who loved you well.
People you loved well.
Moments you almost missed.
Tiny victories nobody applauded.
Prayers nobody heard except God.
Times you kept going when quitting would have been easier.
Those pages count too.
💜 HEART CHECK
Is there a page in your life you keep rereading as though reading it one more time will somehow change the ending?
Maybe it is something you did.
Maybe it is something somebody did to you.
Maybe it is a decision.
A relationship.
A loss.
An opportunity you missed.
A version of yourself you miss.
Ask yourself gently:
Am I remembering this page—or am I living on it?
Those are not the same thing.
You don’t have to burn the old pages to make room for new ones.
You don’t have to call yesterday good if it wasn’t.
You don’t have to forgive yourself by pretending nothing happened.
You don’t have to erase history.
But you also don’t have to build your house on one page.
There are more pages.
👑 TINY VICTORY
Take inventory of something that changed in you.
Not something spectacular.
Something real.
Maybe:
You say no sooner.
You apologize faster.
You ask for help.
You recognize a pattern.
You rest without explaining yourself.
You don’t chase people who have clearly walked away.
You pray differently.
You listen better.
You laugh more.
You protect your peace.
You changed your mind when new information arrived.
You survived something you once thought would destroy you.
That is writing too.
Growth leaves ink.
And sometimes we are so busy looking for a brand-new book that we don’t notice how much wisdom has already been written into the one we’re holding.
🌎 DAILY LOVE CHALLENGE
Give somebody room to be more than an old page.
This one may require some act right. 😂
Have you frozen somebody in the version of themselves you met five years ago?
Ten years ago?
Twenty?
Have you decided:
“She always…”
“He never…”
“They’re just…”
Maybe they were.
Maybe they did.
Accountability matters.
Patterns matter.
Wisdom matters.
Boundaries matter.
But people can also grow.
And if we want people to allow us to become, we ought to leave some room for becoming in others.
Today’s challenge:
Look at somebody with current eyes.
You don’t have to ignore history.
Just don’t make history the only thing you’re willing to see.
🙏🏿 FAITH & THE NEXT PAGE
God has never needed me to hand Him a clean notebook.
Thank God.
Because mine has writing everywhere.
😂
There are places where the handwriting is beautiful.
Places where I can barely read it.
Places I would underline.
Places I would cross out.
Places where I would write in the margin:
Girl. What were you THINKING?
🤣
And still—
God writes.
Grace writes.
Wisdom writes.
Love writes.
Time writes.
I write.
Because I have agency in this story too.
Faith does not mean sitting still waiting for God to write every sentence while I refuse to pick up the pen.
There are choices that belong to me.
Things I need to say.
Things I need to stop saying.
Doors I need to close.
Doors I need to knock on.
People I need to love.
Boundaries I need to keep.
Dreams I need to revisit.
And sometimes—
a blank little space at the bottom of a very crowded page where I can write:
Tomorrow, we try again.
🔒🔑 BEFORE YOU GO…
Look at the journals sitting beside today’s chair:
My Story.
My Mistakes.
My Lessons.
My Joy.
My Faith.
My Tomorrow.
Notice something?
They all belong on the shelf.
We are not throwing away My Story because My Mistakes is in it.
We are not throwing away My Joy because grief got some pages too.
And we certainly are not throwing away My Tomorrow because yesterday got messy.
Beloveds, nobody is handing out erasers at this door.
You don’t need one.
Come written on.
Come edited.
Come crossed out.
Come highlighted.
Come with margins full of questions.
Come with chapters you love and chapters you don’t understand yet.
Bring the whole book.
There’s a chair.
And beside it?
There’s still room to write.
Same page? Maybe.
New possibilities? Absolutely.
Asking for A Friend,
Cassandra
#YourLifeMattersToMe
🔒🔑 WHOSOEVERWILL.
The chair stays.
Come as you are. All are welcome.

Note: Today’s a new day, beloveds. Get out there and live!🥰😆💯💃🏿😘👍🏾🥳🌎
This piece made me smile. The struggle is real. I’m looking forward to a new chapter. I wonder what the future holds for me. I wonder…
