Focus on what you CAN do.

Tonight has been 😭 sobering. For the past few days, I have been reconciling all the things I can no longer do.

Recently, I had to fill out a million page of synopsis detailing everything I can not do in order for Social Security to determine if I am eligible for assistance.

If so, I can plan and prepare to apply for supported living. This way, I can have my own apartment and still have 24 hours a day support staff. I want to be independent.

I wanted to take a shower. Alone. I can’t. I don’t know this made me want to cry. Usually, I am pretty philosophical. Here lately, I find fear wanting to rise up and snatch my joy. I dare not let it in. I have too much to do.

I choose to laugh. I choose to look forward to a future that I can STILL have.

Focus on the wonderful life just waiting for us to engage with.

Whatever your current lot, beloveds, remember that all is not lost, okay? Okay.
