This morning, I found myself automatically getting up, getting going, and acting out the schedule I commited to. Felt good. No argument. No debate. I found myself puttering around, making coffee, boiling eggs, getting my bible study in, listening to my tunes, posting a bit, humming terribly to myself. A habit formed, almost overnight. Awesome!
Our heart just needs for us to make a decision, make a commitment, a TRUE commitment, so it can help us go there, get there and BE whilst there.
When I stopped, trying to figure out how, and to just TRY, the world just opened it’s arms, and has welcomed me. No, I have absolutely NO clue what I am doing. Yet, I have never been more free, to try, to be, to do. The outcome no longer matters, to me. For me, now, it’s all about the TRY.
Say.
Live.
Love.
Make a commitment, to YOU. Life is short. Yet, it’s long enough to make a difference.
Make a difference, beloveds, beginning, FIRST, with, for and to YOU.
Don’t allow folks, situations, circumstances to convince you that you are ‘too’ young to this, that or the other thing. No one knows what you can do. Not even you. Do the thing, TRY the other way, GO that place, LIVE that way. Your youth will serve you well. Your energy will dissolve weaker and more timid souls. In short, BE. Just, BE.
Old folk:
No such a thing! We ain’t old! We, well, we be experienced. We be well made. We be strong. We be boundless. Our years have fortified our TRY, our years have enhanced our knowledge, our years have aged us graciously/gracefully. No one knows what we can do. Not even us. Do the thing, TRY the other way, GO that place, LIVE that way. Our age will serve us well. Our energy will dissolve weaker and more timid souls. In sort, BE. Just, BE.
Whatever age and stage you find yourself, beloved, don’t dismiss or discount what you can do, where you are now. You don’t have to wait for this to come, for that to show, to earn this, to find that. You CAN and you WILL do things. Right, now, if you would just be trust in the ONE thing needed to have what you desire/like/seek……YOU!
Today, is a miracle. Tomorrow, won’t show itself, the same as today.
I, am a miracle. There is only ONE Jaybird, one Sweetpea, one goofhead, one ME.
You, are a miracle. Of all the billions of people, on this earth, NONE is like you. NO ONE has your style, your voice, your thoughts, your love, your care.
How miraculous, am I, are you, is life?
I find it sad, troubling, frustrating that folks pine for, demand, try to coerce, cajole ‘miracles’ from God, from Life, from others, from circumstances, from situations. When, THEY, themselves, contain the very miracles in which he/she/they are pining for and demanding.
What a world, we could make, you, I, others, if we but trust ourselves to just BE. And, in just BEing, why, we can be the miracles others have been pining for and demanding…lol…
Seems like life has been giving so many people such a hard time, here lately. Doing the best I can, to do the best I can. It can seem overwhelming, can’t it? So much hardship and heart ache in so many places!
Yet, we don’t have to be all things to all people. Maybe, just maybe, we can be a few things, for a coupla folks, eh? I love the thought of overwhelming folk with my love. Sounds, well, overwhelming…lol….
Life is short. Long enough, however, to make a difference, however big or small, in someone’s life. Start with you. Be good to you. Then, find someone to reach out to. If you don’t know how or where to start, comment on a post, make a post, of your own. Call a friend. Make a friend. Ask God and Life to give you some friends. Ask Them to teach you how to be a friend.
Let’s get to overwhelming folks, beloveds! There are sooooooooooooo many who are out there, silently, secretly, bleeding to death from lack of care. Let someone know they are seen, heard, loved and cared for.
Get a goin’. Stop hiding from life and love some peep. You can practice on me!
As we come to year’s end, beloveds. let us remember, let us celebrate ALL the progress we have made, tried to make, this year. No, we are nowhere where we thought, hope, wished we would be. Yet, we have fought, ALL year, to be our best, to do our best. We have tried, so very hard, to be there. For, ourselves. For, others.
So, let us take time, you and I, all of us, to celebrate us, to celebrate our TRY. We may yet still be alone. We may yet still see things seemingly remain the same around us. I know. I know. I purposely did not add commas to the last few sentences. I did not want ANYTHING coming between our celebrating our efforts, our TRY, our want to, our we going to try even though we have no clue how to.
Take, just a moment, to have a moment. Experience the joy, embrace the journey, find satisfaction, in the little moments, the quiet moments, the aggravating moments. ALL these things are taking us but one step closer. Closer, to what? Ah! That is God and Life’s secret for us to continue to pursue. Let us keep going. Yet, find a moment or two, to celebrate who we are, NOW, not after we have been polished up and are shiny. Enjoy, the dented you. Enjoy, the frayed you. Enjoy, the tarnished you. Enjoy, the old you. Enjoy, the new you.
I acknowledge your TRY, beloveds. I celebrate you. I celebrate WITH you.
succeeding, yea, have already succeeded with you,
Cassandra
#YourLifeMattersToMe
P.S. For every eye, who come across these words, they are not just words, to me. YOU are not a potential ‘like’ I am seeking. I care. For, you. Why? Why, cuz you be my sister, my brother, my other. We all we got, beloveds. Yet, we all that we need. Don’t let present world circumstances turn you cynical. Love WILL drive out this present divided, darkness. Continue to be a light, to be the light, in your corner, of the world. I shall do the same, in mine.
My! You sure are awfully wiggly, running around, in my pocket. Apparently, you have found something to entertain you in there. I think I left some chocolate minis for the last visitor I had there. I also left some books and puzzles laying around. Can’t very well be a poor hostess, can I?
Anywho, I asked mom to keep you company, whilst I piddle through my work day. Mom and I have been huddling, trying to figure out what would be of comfort to you, just now. Mom says tell you, Brita, that all will be okay, says tell you that YOU shall be okay. She knows the hurt of a daughter missing her mum.
I told mom, Brita, that you may not be up to cheer from across the world. She told me to shush and do as she says. So, am doing as mom says. Looking out for your heart, best I can, from across the world.
Be encouraged, Brita, be encouraged, beloved. Yes, the missing gets super tough around holidays. Memories tend to want to chase us round, begging to be seen, heard and acknowledged….*sigh*.
I have been scrounging around, in my heart, to see what words I can possibly find there that would be of a comfort. Alas, I don’t find very many there, nowadays. The hole in my own heart is much, much too big, at this time of year. Perhaps the comforting words have fallen through the hole in my own heart. All I can think to do, Brita, is to climb in there, there in my pocket, and keep you a bit of company. Not talking. Not much can be said that would be of help anywho, eh? Also, I fear you may yet well pry out my chili recipe and my lips are sealed.
If you like, feel free lay your head upon my shoulder. Be sure to keep the noise down. Must be mindful of these noisy neighbors.
Moms sure can rip a hole, in the whole wide world, when they go, can’t they? Be sure and cut yourself some slack as you make your way. Be ok with not being ok if not ok. Be ok with being ok if you are ok. Be ok with however you are feeling, not feeling, don’t feel like feeling, at the moment. We don’t have to got this portion of our lives. The missing mom/mum portion. We shall let God and Life figure that out whilst we try or not try to figure ourselves out, shall we? I have your back. You don’t have to have mine. Tell you what, let us sit, back to back, and lean upon one another, okay?…hmm…your sweater is itchy! Take care and be encouraged…
This has been an exhausting week. We had to go to a completely new system no one had ever seen, let alone knew how to use…smh….no coment.
I considered using some PTO to sleep in, for a few hours, tomorrow. Thought of a heaping, helping of hollering chili, a snuggle with the sandman, and late morning wake up…hmm….
Thought of all the this and the that I could be doing…
Thought of….the heck with that!
*Cassandra put in for some PTO*.
Some days, beloveds, we need to take the time, for US. To do whatever, to do absolutely nothing. Life will understand. If not, tell it to kick some rocks for a coupla hours and get some rest time. Yes, in the middle of the week. Whenever, where ever, however you need to refresh, refresh. Things will be there, when you wake up.
Ah! Late sleep in! In the middle of the week! Okay, technically today is midweek but who is counting anywho?…*shrug*.
Be good to you, beloveds. Love someone. Starting with YOU. You are much too important to leave behind. And, for those struggling at this time of year, be extra good to you, okay? By the by, Brita, I am carrying your heart around, in my pocket, and yakking with you as you grieve for your mum. I may also slip the recipe to my chili to you. Don’t be causing too much of a ruckus, in their please and thanks. You know how the neighbors get!
I love quotes. Love them!! The above one has me all fired up!!
I AM THE STORM!!
Hear me roar, world!…ooppss…sorry neighbors…*Cassandra whispers hear me roar!!*
The quote reminds me that I am NOT just a passive vessel being tossed to and fro. I have choices. I make choices. I try. I work. I do. The best I can. And, if things don’t turn out, the way I had hoped, well…*shrug*…I tried. Good enough for me.
Ah! The work day is done. I completed my daily schedule, chili hollering for my time, ready to shed my shoulder of today’s TRY in order to slip on this evening’s relaxation.
Ah!
Satisfaction. A job well done. The day did not start as graciously as I may have liked. Yet, the day profferred many treats and laughs along the way. I took one step closer, today. And, that, beloveds, is enough for me. For, now. Closer to what, you ask? Who knows? God does and He ain’t tellin’.
Be at peace, all. Life is short. LIVE, the best you can. Then, leave the outcomes to God and Life to deal with and take care of. You have done your part. Give yourself a hand. Give yourself a hug. Be proud of the you that has come forth from this day. I know I am.
