I already told your friend, fear, where it could get gone to.
Let’s throw some hands, anxiety. You don’t run me, no more. You and your tired lies can go on ahead and kick rocks. Take your tall tales with you!
You do NOT run, my mind. You do NOT, run my life. You do NOT run a blasted thing, ’round here.
Anxiety, I suggest you join your friend, fear. You can go where fear went. Yall can both go to…uh, oh.
Uh, oh, anxiety, shoulda kilt me while you had the chance. Too late, now, as I now know the secret of life.
I now know, to keep living life, in the now, right now, loud, proud, and not studdin nothing your lying mouth has tried to say.
Let’s go, anxiety! I show you to the door. Be gone, get goin’. You ain’t welcome here, no moe.
What are YOU looking at, sad? Do you and I need to talk, next? Didn’t think so…

#YourLifeMattersToMe
Note: Don’t waste another moment, beloveds, running from fear and anxiety. Tell them jokers where to get off at and go on ahead and live your life. Now. Here. As best and as hard and as loud as you can. Love as much as you can. Don’t waste a moment wondering where the payoff is. Live. Then, watch God and Life show up for you. In the meantime, love yourself, darn it. Then, love someone else. Someone needs to know they are not alone. Someone needs to know they are loved. Get going!
What I texted one of my sisters. I have been living alone, away from all family since 2016. Seven years.
I had to hear the most awful news a child could hear, alone.
I had to go through terrifying financial times where I didn’t think I would make it, alone.
I had to hear devastating health news and deal with it’s aftermath, alone.
I have had to deal with blow after blow after blow after blow, alone.
Alone, yet not.
Sometimes, not having some skin around can feel awfully lonely. During those times, it is important to understand that we are NOT alone.
On the other end of my text, sis texted back.
Back and forth, sis and I cut up, via text. Back and forth, I yakked with mom, as she was in heaven, sipping coffee and telling her of my say. Back and forth, I yakked with God and Life, pouring out my heart and letting all know that I was here. Here, still. Still, waiting. Still, loving best I can. I am lonely, I said, knowing I am not alone.
That’s what I told myself as God and Life refused to give up Their secrets. Everything seems to be in a holding pattern. Nothing earth-shattering going on. Nothing life-changing either.
Me and Life appears to be in a staredown. I want to tell Life to stop being a bully and give me what I have long been working for, walking towards, taking the high road to obtain.
Life simply stares at me, in silence, waiting for me to find all the nuggets contained within this almost unbelievable and unbreakable and unbearable silence!
I am learning to be still, in this silence.
I am learning to keep moving, in the silence.
I am learning to keep believing, in the silence.
Believing can seem soooo hard to believe, in the silence!
I, believe.
In, me.
In, life.
In, God.
In, my skills.
In, my try.
In believing, I continue to encourage myself. I tell myself I WILL see the sun, soon.
As shall you, beloveds.
In the meantime, sit with me awhile. Let us speak to one another’s heart. Let us encourage others and invite them to sit. Here. With us. In the silence. Until, the sun rises. It shall. In it’s time. In the meantime…
The Bible tells us to be content no matter what state we find ourselves in.
Yet, it can be super hard to be content when it’s hard to be content!
We want to be there, already!
We want to have that, already!
We get tired of the drive, weary of the endlessly winding roads, exhausted from fighting with or amongst fellow travelers.
We get exasperated with all the blasted clues the Bible, God, Life, life, situation and circumstances leave us with.
SPEAK PLAINLY, ALREADY!! TELL US WHAT THE WORLD YOU NEED FOR US TO DO HAVE OR BE SO WE CAN GET TO DOING HAVING AND BEING ALREADY!!!!??
Whew.
Yet, both God and Life waits patiently for us to learn some patience. Then, after learning som patience we can finally learn to be content no matter where we find ourselves.
I’m a clicker. Leastwise, I used to be. Meaning, when online I would click the blasted mouse until the dumb pages loaded. The problem was, EVERY time I clicked, the computer had to do it’s thing to load each page.
Instead of making things faster, all I did was make my computer time frustrating, aggravating and why on earth did I get online for time.
Over time, I learned to, quiet my hands. I would do other things while waiting for the page to load. I learned to, be content while content was being loaded…lol.
So, we just have to learn to be content, whilst God and Life downloads/uploads the content needed, in order for us to do, be and have.
My system went down, mid shift. Tried, everything. My system said ‘Nah, don’t think so’ and continued to stare at me with a blank screen.
Found myself with rest of the day to do, whatever, while waiting for techies to do techie type things and get me situated. In times past, I freely admit this, I would have used this time to do absolutely nothing.
Now, there are times when it is perfectly fine, no, necessary, to do nothing. Yet, today wasn’t one of those days. I decided to use my down time to make a healthy meal, get some meal prep done, do some writing, encouraged some peeps, encouraged myself by watching inspirational videos.
Life is short. When Life graciously hands you a bit of free time, beloveds, take the time to choose what to do with it. Don’t allow the time to simply fill itself with lazy, with things, places or things that will take you away from moving forward.
Take and use your down time, with INTENTION.
What do you intend to DO with the rest of your day?
It’s okay when the world, when others are not okay when you show your flaws. Show your flaws, anyway.
Your flaws, your scars, your mistakes, are simply that: flaws, scars and mistakes.
Wassamatta with that?
Nothing.
The most expensive artifacts are priceless, beloveds, BECAUSE of, not in spite of, their flaws, their uniqueness, their rarity.
Embrace, you, beloveds.
ALL, of you.
The parts,of you, that scare you the most to reveal. To, yourself. To, the world.
The world needs what only YOU can provide/be.
It’s okay to be…
Afraid.
Be afraid, and do it anyway.
Fear is nothing more than a lying mirage.
The more you do, the more you will see.
The more you see, the more you will try/do.
Try.
Do.
Be.
You.
Flaws and all.
Your flaws are your friends.
Flaws, in fact, helps to keep you:
Humbled.
Gracious.
Grateful.
Empathetic.
Humble.
Seeking.
Aspiring.
Inspired.
Inspirational.
When you show your flaws, it gives others courage, gives them hope that maybe they can show their flaws.
Soon, they will inspire others to show THEIR flaws. Eventually, there will be a world full of honest faces. Faces, unadorned with masks, self-loathing and scorn. Faces, full of love, hope, peace, joy, laughter and on and on and on and…
Cried, ALL morning. So long and so much so there was no way I could work, in that state.
Cried, about that.
Had to empty my savings to have just enough to scrape next month’s rent but nowhere near enough to pay rest of the bills.
Cried, about that.
Decided to make some popcorn and spend the now called off day munching popcorn and watching old movies. Burnt the last of the popcorn.
Cried, about that.
Dumped burnt popcorn, and decided to make some fresh cookies to go along with a soothing cup of coffee to soothe my crying soul. Burnt the cookies.
Cried, about that.
Decided to watch movies amidst the smell of burnt cookies and popcorn. The power went out.
Just HAD to laugh, about that.
Tried to text a friend, to find someone to commiserate my tales of woe. Phone battery 12 percent.
Cried, about that.
Decided to put the darkness to good use.
Shrugged, and took a nap.
Yea, boy, I was about that life, today.
Still, here.
Here, still.

Moral of the story: Don’t allow feelings, some tough moments, some challenging moments to rob you of your joy, your peace or your day. Begin, again, again, still again, beloveds. Cry, take a nap, burn some cookies. Just continue to be about that life EVERY day. For, you are not alone. Be encouraged. I love me some you.
