HELP ME WITHOUT DISAPPEARING ME.

HELP ME WITHOUT DISAPPEARING ME

Beloveds.

Help is supposed to help.

That sounds obvious until help quietly becomes control.

Sometimes people love us and still reach past our agency.

They decide because deciding seems faster.

They speak because waiting feels uncomfortable.

They move the chair, change the plan, finish the sentence, or solve the problem without asking.

Good intentions do not automatically create good impact.

I can need help and still need choice.

I can receive assistance and still be the authority on my own life.

I can be grateful and still say, “Please ask me first.”

Galatians 6:2 says, “Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.” KJV

Notice that bearing a burden does not require taking possession of the person carrying it.

For me, love and agency have to be able to sit at the same table.

For those who do not share my faith, the principle still stands:

Care should make room for the cared-for person.

🔑 Ask before assuming.

🔑 Assist without erasing.

🔑 Listen long enough to learn what help actually means.

You matter to me.

See my difference.

Do not make my difference all you see.

Note: Beloveds, don’t allow folk to disappear you! You know what you need. Ask for help as needed. Then, let folk love you! Asking for A Friend…be encouraged.  I love you.

Beloveds,

You don’t have to beg for love.

This moves me.

NEW DAY

MY VOICE DOES NOT HAVE TO SOUND LIKE BEFORE TO BELONG TO ME.

TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 22, 2026

MY VOICE DOES NOT HAVE TO SOUND LIKE BEFORE TO BELONG TO ME

Beloveds.

A changed voice is still a voice.

That sentence is simple.

Living it is not.

When the way you communicate changes, people can become impatient.

They can finish for you.

They can misunderstand you.

They can listen to the difficulty instead of listening to the person.

And sometimes you can do the same thing to yourself.

I am learning not to make fluency the admission price for being heard.

My speech can take longer.

My words can arrive differently.

My voice can tire.

And I am still speaking.

Psalm 19:14 says, “Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.” KJV

I believe God hears more than polish.

I believe He knows the meditation of my heart even when my mouth has to fight for the sentence.

If faith is not your language, hear this part clearly anyway:

You deserve enough time to communicate.

You deserve not to be disappeared because communication takes effort.

🔑 The key is not sounding like everybody else.

The key is being allowed to sound like yourself.

You matter to me.

And if somebody needs a little longer to say what they mean today, give them the dignity of the whole sentence.

BEGINNING AGAIN DOES NOT ERASE BEFORE.

BEGINNING AGAIN DOES NOT ERASE BEFORE
BEGINNING AGAIN DOES NOT ERASE BEFORE

Beloveds,

Late but here!…lol

I know something about beginning again.

I also know beginning again can sound prettier in motivational language than it feels in an actual life.

Sometimes beginning again is exciting.

Sometimes it is infuriating.

Sometimes you are beginning again because you chose something new.

Sometimes life chose it for you.

Those are not the same experience.

I do not need to insult the woman I was before in order to honor the woman I am becoming now.

I do not have to call the old life worthless because the new life requires courage.

I can grieve what changed and still participate in what remains.

I can miss what my body used to do and still love the body carrying me today.

I can remember an easier voice and still claim the voice that is mine now.

I can say, “This is hard,” without translating that sentence into, “This is hopeless.”

Isaiah 43:19 says, “Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it?” KJV

My faith tells me God can work in the new.

It does not require me to pretend the old did not matter.

And Beloveds who do not believe as I do, there is room for you in this conversation too.

Beginning again belongs to human beings, not only believers.

🔑 The key is not erasing yesterday.

The key is refusing to let yesterday be the only place where your life was allowed to be real.

You matter to me.

What are you beginning again without apologizing for how much the first version mattered?

Keep doing you!

Beloveds,

I had to stop by to encourage someone. Starting with me.

I’m still me. This stroke keeps cutting up by I am fighting back. My face keeps changing with the droops.

I’m still  cute!

My dreams are STILL before me. So, are yours. Stop feeling sorry for your lot and seize these moments.

I don’t feel disabled. I feel capable. I feel excited. I feel exhausted. I feel everything all at once.

I feel…

Ah.

Aha!

Don’t be ashamed of how you look. Embrace ALL of you.

We go thangs to do, beloveds! Let’s get to loving someone. Starting with me.

Cassandra

KEEP DREAMING…

 Beloveds,

Just stopped by to encourage someone. Starting with me.

I posted this March 2025. I still believe.  Still…

SUNDAY

🌤️🪑 SUNDAY

Beloveds,

Come sit down.

That’s it.

That’s the invitation.

🪑

You don’t have to bring anything.

You don’t have to explain anything.

You don’t have to solve anything before you sit.

And you certainly don’t have to show up here pretending you have everything together.

It’s Sunday.

Let Sunday be Sunday.

🥰

Yesterday we had our popcorn.

🍿🎬

We watched a movie.

We laughed.

Maybe we noticed some things.

Maybe we carried a thought or two away from the screen.

But today?

I’m not handing out assignments.

🤣

I’m protecting a little space for rest.

🔑

I’ve been thinking a lot about the chair I keep putting beside me.

The chair has become one of my favorite things in this little 🌎 we’re building together.

Because the chair says something before I ever do.

Come.

Sit.

You are welcome here.

🪑

Believer?

Pull up a chair.

Not a believer?

Pull up a chair.

Certain?

Chair.

Doubting?

Chair.

Still figuring out what you believe?

Chair.

Agree with me?

Chair.

Disagree with me?

Yep.

Still a chair.

🤣🪑

Different race.

Different culture.

Different politics.

Different body.

Different ability.

Different story.

Different questions.

Different life.

There is still room.

Because you do not have to resolve before you belong.

🔑

I don’t want to build a little corner of the world where everybody has to become the same before we can care about one another.

We can have distinctions without turning those distinctions into distance.

We can disagree without deciding somebody has stopped being human.

We can listen without surrendering everything we believe.

We can learn.

We can laugh.

We can change.

We can stay.

We can leave room for mystery.

And sometimes we can simply sit beside each other for a while.

🪑🪑

That matters to me.

Especially on Sunday.

Because there will always be another thing to accomplish.

Another problem to solve.

Another conversation to have.

Another piece to write.

Another Monday coming.

👀🤣

Monday can wait its turn.

Today is not Monday wearing slippers.

🤣

Today gets to breathe.

So do you.

🌤️

Rest if you can.

Laugh if something is funny.

Eat something you enjoy.

Listen to something beautiful.

Watch something just because you want to watch it.

Look out the window.

Call somebody you love.

Say a prayer.

Take a nap.

Do absolutely nothing impressive.

You do not have to turn your rest into homework about rest.

🔑

And when the new week arrives, we’ll meet it then.

There are more stories ahead.

More questions.

More keys.

More things to notice about ourselves and each other.

More opportunities to love this beautiful, complicated 🌎 a little better.

We’ll get there.

One step.

One step.

One step.

But not today.

Today?

Pull up a chair.

🪑

Stay awhile.

There is room for you here.

There always was.

You matter to me.

🔑
