It took me one hour AND twenty nine minutes BUT I WAS ABLE TO PUT ON MY BRA BY MYSELF FOR THE FIRST TIME!!!!!
Whew!!!!!!!!
YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Never mind that I am now sitting breathless/ecstatic/thankful hopeful and half naked still!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
I’m so worn out, from the effort spent, that I may stay half dressed for the rest of the day! I just stopped by to encourage someone. Starting with me.
It can/will get hard/tough. Never mind that!
determined, Cassandra

Note: Keep going. Keep moving forward. Keep looking up. We got thangs to do!
Ah, beloveds, Life has been teaching me many a lesson
Some, bitter. Some, bittersweet!!
I’m learning how to stand, ten toes down, on FAITH. I tell fear HA! THEN, I keep going.
Be encouraged, beloveds, oh, be ENCOURAGED!
What lessons are YOU learning. I’m getting stronger. Today, I walked almost 700 feet with my quad cane. It felt good to walk 🚶♀️ those exhausting steps! Whew!
I was proud of my try. Be proud of yourself. You are doing your best. Let that be enough. STOP judging yourself so harshly!
I don’t know much. I don’t know how. I don’t know when. I don’t know where. I don’t know where. I don’t know much much anymore. And, beloveds, that’s okay. For now…*sigh*.
I’m doing my level best to stay positive. I’m playing the ” good girl “. Crap!
Sure wish that I could:
Pitch a fit.
Scream.
Scream some more. I dare not. Instead I…*sigh
Run.
I don’t know what to do to with the me I used to be.
Can anyone tell me? It’s okay not to know. Be encouraged.
Don’t be afraid of the dark, beloveds. Everyone of us are fighting with and fighting through some dark times.
Bills are impossibly high. No one can afford gas or groceries I stopped by to encourage someone. God sees in the darkness as well as in the light.
Stand fast Stand ten toes down on faith, love, hope and joy. As my mama always said ” the devil IS a liar! Ha!
Dont let your present circumstances keep you from keeping on! Life is what WE make it. I plan to make the most of mine.
I had a catastrophic stroke. Big deal. Okay it sucks So what?! I fight on. Whether I feel like it or not. What are you fighting with. Tell it so what and keep it moving!
Reality is FINALLY setting in, beloveds. A reality I do NOT want to face. I HAVE to. Dammit, I HAVE to.
I cried in my sister’s arms tonight. Said I no longer feel like me. I had been itching to make an uplifting video. You know, one of m ridiculous and sappy ones. I was going to add inspiring music. I was going to wax poetic about the vicissitudes of life.
Then I realized, I remembered that I could barely say let alone remember what the vicissitudes of life even meant!
Dammit!!
I fired up my video making software but no longer remember HOW to work it which made me cry harder. Sis told me to teach myself again.
Monday morning I have a neurology appointment to find out just how much my brain has been affected. I am terrified! What if I can’t remember or relearn things.
Words are my life. How do I regain my footing, pun intended!Ah, God, what do I do with me now.
I am not the same. I will NEVER be THAT her again. Never seems like such a long time. I’m not depressed. Terrified. Sad. Wondering. Wandering. I am truly in my own Garden of Gasemeni! My ONLY comfort is that He promised to be with me.
I just stopped by to encourage someone to keep on keeping on. Quit is NOT for us We’ve got too many thangs to do!
Get UP!!! FIGHT! THERE IS TOO MUCH LOVE IN US TO DESPAIR, TO QUIT, TO RUN AWAY.
Cry, if you have to. Then:
Rise.
Move.
Believe.
Sing
Dance.
I may not can raise both hands. Still, I shall flap this left one with all that I have.
I’m no longer her. Then again, she’s no longer me.It will be interesting finding out who WE are…lol
Its okay to wonder who and why you are. Let’s discover together, eh. In case no one has told you today: I love you and so does He.
STILL here, Cassandra

Note: Be encouraged. Somebody pray for a sista!Asking for A Friend!
Everything is hard right now. And I mean everything!!!!!!!
I am doing my best not to get discouraged. I’m doing my best not to get angry. I’m doing my best. That’s all I can do. That’s all I can ask myself. That’s all you can ask of yourself.
Everything I do takes effort. Everything I do takes is time. I want to rush forward. I want to run. I want to go places. I can’t. Not now. Not yet. Who knows ?
Part of me wants to be angry with the world. I don’t blame the world for my stroke. I am trying to learn the lesson in this. Is there a lesson to be learned? You tell me.
I have tried to make uplifting videos all day. My hands no longer work right. I no longer work right. I’m doing the best I can. I’m using the tools I have right now. That’s all I can do. That’s all you can do. That is all God asked of me to do.
I just stopped by to encourage someone.
Be encouraged. Keep doing what you know. Keep fighting the good fight. I’m living left handed, in a righthanded world. There are days I want to hide. There are days I want to run away
I can’t afford to run away. Neither can you. We have to face our fears. We have to walk alone. Let’s keep trying. Make the most of things. I have to keep rewriting my life. So do you. As many time as it takes. As long as it takes.
Don’t give in. Don’t give up. Don’t Iet despair stop you. I want to say forget it. I can’t. None of us can.
There is so much I want to say. It bothers me that I can’t say what I want. When I want. How I want. Still, I try. Just writing these words takes so much effort. That’s OK. I’m OK. Or, I will be. I choose to be. What do you choose?
Life is what we make it. Make yours a good one. So will I.

Note: There are days that I want to sit down and cry all day. I don’t have time for that. I have a life to love and live and grow in. And so do you. What do you do with your life? What can you do with it )) What must you do with your life? Asking for A Friend.
A miracle gave me my life back. But for the love of a friend, I would have died from the stroke. She called everyone she could think of to do a wellness check.
I lay on the floor for almost an hour before paramedics kicked in my door. I could hear but could not move. I had many MRIs as doctors worked to stop me from having. more strokes There was concern for my aorta. Fresh crimeny!!
As a result, I have to take blood thinners for the rest of my life. I am praying for healing but will make the best of things.
NOTHING will ever be the same. And, that’s okay. I am doing my best to walk again! Still, beloveds, I SHALL live fully no matter what!!!!
I stopped by to encourage someone. Starting with me.!
Don’t give up. Not today, Not tomorrow. Not ever! Healing will come. Be patient with yourself. Pray. Ask for help. Things will not always be this hard. You can make it. You can take it.
Be encouraged. You got this. We can do this.
Nothing will ever be the same again. And that’s OK. I love you. So does God. Have a wonderful day. Let me hear from you. I have been praying for you. Pray for me.

Note: This stroke has been a blessing in disguise. I have had to learn patience. I have had to learn how to take things one step at a time. I am learning how to slow down. I’m thankful. I’m grateful. Be grateful for your life. The best is yet to come. For all of us. I believe that. Trust in God. Trusting your gifts. Trust in you! We can do more than we give ourselves credit for. . Jesus loves us. I love you. I pray, pray, pray for you every day!
Life is worth living? Even the hard parts. Life changes for us all. PLEASE don’t despair when that happens. You are not alone. I’m with you. So is God. So IS, Jesus! Have FAITH!!!!.
Note: Just sending some love your way. Be encouraged. Life has been really hard. I am dealing with mental deficits from my stroke. I can no longer recall easy words and things like I used to. Forming coherent sentences has been devastating to a writer. I have cried alllereek trying to make peace with my new normal.
It takes me days to bounce back from speech therapy sessions. Speech is hard. Texting takes FOREVER.
I want to encourage those whose struggles are many right now. We SHALL get better. It may take a long time. Let’s laugh in the meantime. Let’s love, in the meantime. Let’s hope, in the meantime. We got this.
