Happy Mother’s Day, mom.
I miss you.
I’m glad you were my mom for 48 years.
I have missed you every second, of every day, for the past 8 years.
I wish I could lay my head on your buddha belly and hear the rumble of your laughter beneath my cheek.
I’m grateful for all the lessons you taught me.
I’m glad you taught us girls how to cook so we could “win a man”.🤣🤗
I’m doing okay, mom. Okay, I’m not, but I have donned my big girl panties so I can get through another Mother’s Day without you.
I’m going to try not to hide away today, mom. Although, I fear that ship has sailed. I have already turned off the phone. I have a small bag of chocolate donuts ready to collect any stray tears.
Ah, mom, I wish I could be angry with you still for leaving us all to figure things out alone.
I don’t feel alone today, mom. For the first time in eight years. I no longer feel your loss as a loss. It was your time.
I wish I knew if you were proud of my try, mom. I’m trying as hard as I can.
I don’t know what to DO, mom. Last night I cried. I looked over my try, from these last years of giving everything to everyone, yet receiving little to nothing back, and wondered if…nevermind, this is YOUR day. I dare not snatch it away with a fool’s tear.
Take care, mom. Rest, now. You earned it. I’ll keep trying.
Don’t you cheat at gin rummy today. EVERYONE knows you cheat a wee bit. 🥰🤗
love from a grateful daughter,

Cassandra
#YourLifeMattersToMe
Note: Have an amazing day, beloveds. Life is short. Someone hug a mom for me and all of us who have lost ours. We’d appreciate it today.❤🙏
One step.
One step.
One step.
You are loved.
You are NOT alone.
Keep on being…YOU!
