πŸ’” GOD SAID NO. πŸ™πŸ½πŸ˜

August 14, 2026

Beloveds,

I almost gave up.

God said NO. πŸ™πŸ½

I wanted to walk away.

God said NO.

I wanted to run πŸƒπŸ½β€β™€οΈπŸ’¨, hide, cry, disappear under the covers and tell everybody, β€œY’all figure it out. I’m DONE.” πŸ˜πŸ’”πŸ€•πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«

And God said:

β€œHELL TO THE NAH!” πŸ˜πŸ€£πŸ™πŸ½

Whew. Okay, Jesus. Message received. πŸ˜πŸ‘€πŸ˜‚

Today hurt.

Not the cute kind of hurt that fits nicely inside an inspirational quote.

I’m talking about the kind of hurt that makes you wonder how much more your heart can possibly carry. πŸ’”

I cried.

I grieved.

I wanted OUT.

Not out of life.

Out of the pain.

Out of having to be strong.

Out of having to adjust.

Out of having to keep finding courage when I felt like I had already used every last drop. πŸ˜’πŸ€•

And somewhere between β€œGod, I can’t do this” and β€œGod, I don’t WANT to do this,” something inside me refused to quit.

I know Who that was. πŸ™πŸ½β€οΈ

God said:

NO.

No, Cassandra, you don’t get to decide the story is over because this chapter hurts.

No, you don’t get to confuse exhaustion with defeat.

No, you don’t get to call yourself finished while I’m still working.

No, you don’t have to understand tonight.

You just have to stay. β€οΈβ€πŸ©Ή

πŸ“– Philippians 1:6 KJV

β€œBeing confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:”

THAT’S IT. πŸ’―πŸ™πŸ½

Maybe tonight isn’t about fighting harder.

Maybe tonight isn’t about figuring everything out.

Maybe tonight’s act of faith is ridiculously simple:

GO. TO. BED. πŸ˜πŸ€£πŸ›Œ

Rest is not quitting.

Crying is not quitting.

Saying β€œI cannot carry another thing tonight” is not quitting.

Sometimes perseverance looks like marching forward. πŸ’ͺ🏽πŸ”₯

And sometimes perseverance looks like crawling underneath the covers, handing tomorrow back to God and saying:

β€œYour shift, Jesus. I’m clocking out.” πŸ˜πŸ€£πŸ™πŸ½πŸ›Œ

And for my friends who don’t believe as I do, hear the heart of this anyway:

Don’t make permanent conclusions from an exhausted moment.

You don’t have to solve your entire life tonight.

You don’t have to know who you’re becoming tonight.

You don’t even have to feel hopeful tonight.

Rest.

Let morning come before you decide what tomorrow means. ❀️

πŸ† TONIGHT’S VICTORY

I almost gave up.

ALMOST.

But almost ain’t DID. πŸ˜πŸ’―

I’m still here.

Still hurting. πŸ€•

Still crying. 😒

Still heartbroken. πŸ’”

Still overwhelmed. πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«

Still me.

And apparently God and I are not finished yet. πŸ™πŸ½β€οΈβ€πŸ”₯

So that’s enough.

Beloved, go to bed. πŸ›ŒπŸ₯°

The questions can wait.

The grief will still have room tomorrow.

Nothing has to be fixed tonight.

We made it through today.

And that, my friends, is enough. β€οΈβ€πŸ©Ή

Goodnight. πŸ€•πŸ˜’πŸƒπŸ½β€β™€οΈπŸ‘‹πŸ½πŸ’”πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«πŸ›ŒπŸ™πŸ½β€οΈ

Cassandra
