When life hands you lemons it’s time to break out your blue screwdriver!

God: What on earth?!!!

The Universe: What in creation?!!!

Jesus: YYAAAAAAAAAASSSSSA!!

*Cassandra 💃 dances and 🎶 sings her way out*…*Cassandra bellows with her infamous blue screwdriver and sings til Jesus comes to join her*

YYYYYAAAAAAAAASSSS!!

Be encouraged, beloveds. NO weapon…

Keep on happening to life. Dance your way out of dark places. Sing your way out of seemingly hopeless spaces. Rejoice your way out of cramped spaces.

Loudly. Badly. Gladly.

💃🎶🗝,

Cassandra

Note: There is so much badness and foolishness happening, the world over, it’s almost enough to give the bravest folk the willies.

When your world is acting a fool, snatch up a screwdriver, turn on some tunes and sing your way out. If nothing else, you will entertain heaven and earth.😆

Remember:

You are loved.

You are NOT alone.

Keep on being… YOU

Stop giving up your you time.

I was frustrated.

I wanted to write.

I kept allowing myself to be distracted by phone calls.

Ack.

I decided to choose me and to stop giving away my time in order to accommodate someone else’s time.

Life is short.

Stop giving up your time for someone else’s time. Do the things for your life that you know need to be done. If you have some time left over then give that time away. Time is too precious to keep giving away.

I rested today. All day. I only got one piece out this morning. I chose me. Now I am choosing to keep my promise and get my other two pieces done for the day.

I just want to check on you before I enjoy some Sunday Night 🏈 Football.

I am enjoying some old school music from the seventies. I am getting down on it.😂

Be encouraged, beloveds.

This weekend is going to awesome!!! How do I know? Because, my attitude determines how my days shall be.

Keep being you. Reach out to someone. These can be some lonely days. I hear ☕ calling me. Come join us.

enjoying some me,

Cassandra

Note: Remember you are not mistakes. Make a ton of them this week. This is how we grow. Tell your critics thanks for providing you with so much inspiration and determination!

One step.

One step.

One step.

You are loved.

You are NOT alone.

Your obstacles are not obstacles.

Your obstacles are not obstacles.

They are:

Opportunities to grow.

Chances to overcome.

Moments to improve.

Time to shine.

Greatness to live.

Wins waiting to happen.

Routes to strength.

Precursors to satisfaction.

Don’t fear the hard, beloveds.

Don’t grow too weary at the never ending obstacles.

Smile. They are the introduction to the greatest story ever told!

Stay in the race.

Endure.

Embrace.

Overcome.

Ah.

Aha!

overcoming with you,

Cassandra

#YourLifeMattersToMe

Note: You can do this! You shall. Be encouraged.

One step.

One step.

One step.

You are loved.

You are NOT alone.

Keep on being… YOU

Nuff said.

You are all of these things and more, beloveds.

So am I.

Sometimes, we just need to be reminded, don’t we?

Love someone today.

Starting with you.

This has been a long year hasn’t it’? Time for us to rest and get recharged to end the year on a fantastically fabulous note!

You have done your all. That IS enough. Let’s stop giving ourselves such a hard time about these dumb dreams that are being sooooooooooooo stubborn.

Let’s keep on being about being about it.

Let’s keep on doing thangs.

Let’s keep on living WITH intentions.

Let’s keep taking ownership and telling our feels to shut up and sit down somewhere.

Let’s keep telling apathy ha! and to kick rocks.

Let’s keep on loving and being faithful.

Let’s keep walking with authority and in our integrity.

Let’s keeping doing right simply because it IS right.

Let’s keep on laughing.

Let’s keep on rejoicing.

Let’s keep on living.

Let’s keep on being.

Let’s keep on embracing hard.

Let’s keep on happening to our lives.

Let’s keep on…

keeping on with you,

Cassandra

#YourLifeMattersToMe

Note: I am gettin my pieces done. I am keeping my promises to me. Yes, it hurts when silence echoes through a room we wish filled with sound. Yes, it hurts when dreams tarry too long. Yes, it hurts when our try ends up in a heap of a whole lotta nothingness.

Yet, ah, ow and oh! Be encouraged.

One step.

One step.

One step.

You are loved.

You are NOT alone.

Keep on being…YOU

Because of them: Face your fear(s).

Face your fear(s).

Don’t get down on yourself, because of them.

Don’t berate yourself, because of them.

Don’t dismiss yourself, because of them.

Because of them, beloveds, you SHALL overcome and grow and thrive.

Because of them, beloveds, you will learn much about you and the world around you.

Because of them, beloveds, the diamond within, without and all around you, SHALL be revealed.

BECAUSE of them.

Be encouraged.

overcoming with you,

Cassandra

#YourLifeMattersToMe

Note: I have been learning much. BECAUSE of my fears. I am asking myself a lot of whys. I am cutting myself a lot of slack. I am giving myself extra love. BECAUSE of my fears. I am talking about them, acknowledging them. I am giving them to God and sharing with Him how they make me feel.

I told myself, just today, in fact, I would NOT allow myself to give up on me because I was tired. Or, because I was afraid. Or, because I don’t know how to make my dreams come true. Ack!!

The more I try, and fail, the more I want to try. I am enjoying my days. Even the hard parts of it.

Keep going, beloveds. You will be okay. Sometimes, we just need someone to tell us everything will be okay.

One step.

One step.

One step.

You are loved.

You are NOT alone.

Keep on being…YOU.

You are enough.

I just don’t feel enough today.

Why my pieces are late. I almost did not write today.

I write to keep my promise to myself. I’m doing my best to keep my promise to me.

I wonder today if my efforts will lead anywhere or be of any comfort. Doesn’t feel like it today.

Ah, beloveds, I soooooooooooo desperately want to allow my feels to run this day. I want to run from today.

I’m tired.

My try just does NOT feel as though it will EVER be enough.

Crap.

So, I wrote. Tired. I try. Tired. I’m tired of running away from the fact I am 55 and still chasing down my dreams.

Yet, I am enough.

I am.

Enough.

As are you.

You are enough.

YOU are enough.

You ARE enough.

You are ENOUGH.

YOU ARE ENOUGH!

Enough already, fear/doubt!

We have had enough of you!

believing in me,

Cassandra

Note: Get excited, beloveds. Disappointment ONLY visits those who are worthy. Disappointment ONLY shows her face to those who simply REFUSE to give up. Be encouraged.

One step.

One step.

One step.

You are loved.

You are NOT alone.

Keep on being…YOU

God knows I’m tired.

I’m tired.

God knows.

God knows I’m tired.

Tired of:

The fight.

Period.

Why must life be so haaaaaaard!

Ack.

I fight on.

Why?

Because I am tired of running away when things are tooooooooooooooo hard.

I’m tired of believing for everyone’s dreams but my own.

I’m tired of comfort eating my way through grief and loss.

I’m tired of seeing my life through the limiting gaze and perspective of others.

I’m tired of pretending I’m NOT tired.

I think I shall rest today so I can continue to fight for my heart and my dreams.

tired,

Cassandra

#YourLifeMattersToMe

Note: It’s okay to be tired. Rest. Get back in the game. You only lose when you give up. We got thangs to do.

One step.

One step.

One step.

You are loved.

You are NOT alone.

Keep on being…YOU

♥ Heart check Friday.

It’s Friday.

It’s Fri-yay!

It’s about to be rest day.

Take the rest of this day to rest:

Your mind.

Wrest your mind from ALL that has been worrying you.

Wrest your heart from all that has been scaring you.

Wrest your spirit from all that has been fatiguing you.

You have done your best.

You have given your all.

Let this be enough.

Remember, you ARE enough!

Be encouraged.

Cassandra

#YourLifeMattersToMe

Note: Rest.

You are loved.

You are NOT alone.

Keep on being…YOU

When life hands you lemons, try asking for some grapes.

Have you ever had one of those days, weeks, months, years where it seemed as if all your efforts have gone in vain? Have you ever wondered what in the world did you start this or do that, in the first place? Have you ever wanted to run away from home, tired of forever having […]

When life hands you lemons, try asking for some grapes.

Beloveds, sis told me I HAD to repost this piece I did two years ago. Here goes nothing…

Note: Enough with the lemons already…lol.

I belong.

I belong.

Here.

Now.

Here and now.

I belong.

In this place.

In this space.

In this hard.

In this hard place and space.

I belong.

Because of.

In spite of.

Despite.

I belong.

Joyfully.

Hopefully.

Knowingly.

I belong.

Ah.

Aha!

belonging,
