Suddenly, I feel… I honestly don’t know. I felt fantastic and proud of myself for working hard. Was working wmu Speech Therapist and found myself perturbed because I couldn’t put together EASY words
Crap!
I can’t use my right arm!!
I can’t drive a car!
I don’t have any money!
I…
Think I’ll go watch something funny. I am bummed out and have NO idea why…hhhmmm? Do you know?
Today mark’s six months since I had my massive stroke.
Yes, beloveds, it IS a marker. A life changing event that changed my life. FOREVER. I am no longer the same. I no longer sound the same. My facial features have also shifted. I can’t move my right hand.
I fight with a body that wants to betray me, on the daily.
Yet, that moment was NOT my tombstone. I am still here. I am STILL me. Life did not end. I can still thrive.
Yes, beloveds, there are a million things that I can no longer do. I may never do some of them.
My milestone is not my tombstone. Your milestone does not have to define or end you.
You, alone, decides how your story ends. Or, begins…lol
I miss being able to type. I am going to teach myself to type left handed.
I am going to attempt many things. Surely,I shall fall/fail, from time to time.
I am ready to shoot for other milestones. I have no idea what lies in store for me. Or, you.
Let’s do this together, eh?
Let’s endeavour to stop turning milestones into tombstones. Let the dead bury the dead. We’ve got too much living and too many thangs to do!
Hear this, beloveds, just because you had an ending doesn’t mean it’s the end of/for you.
Things change. Life happens As, it should. As, it must.
Still, know you do not have to lament that which has ended. ALL things have their end.
Try not to spend too much time in the land of regret. The thing happened. Grieve, if you must. Cry, as your heart asks. Then, rise, beloveds. Get ready for the next steps.
You may have to retrace your steps. Alas, you may be required to blaze a new path! Rejoice when hard comes for you. For, you begin to carve out a new path. Your path.
New journeys awaits us all the time. Which way shall you go. Enjoy EVERY STEP. Ah, God, what do we do with us now?

Note: Be encouraged. Remember that we’ve got thangs to do!
Whatever this life hands you, beloveds, you can ALWAYS choose to turn it into something good and worthwhile.
Life is as YOU choose to make it. Make it spectacular!

Note: Tomorrow will be exactly six months to the day of my stroke. I am doing. my best to create a fantastic life for myself.
If I can lose a twin after 57 years of life, lose my job, have a stroke, lose ALL my savings, and have to start over learning how to walk, talk, and 90 million other things, then you can turn ALL your hard into something good and or worthwhile.
I’m exhausted. I’m doing facial exercises to help me relearn HOW to smile. Who knew it would be THIS hard learning how to smile again. Jimeny Crickets!
I just stopped by to encourage someone. Starting with me!
Beloveds, please don’t allow anything to erase your smile. Go back and find where you lost/left it.
No matter what you going through, be sure to take your smile with you. You need it.
