Sad brought me to my knees.

Sad brought me to my knees.

Brought me close enough to see my humanity.

Thank you, sad.

For helping me to get on my knees.

On my knees, I pray.

Thankful, for this life, that has been given me.

Though my steps slow.

Heavy, baring the weight, of my tears.

Steps, lightened, brightened.

By joy, unspeakable.

Rejoicing.

Unbreakable.

Unbroken.

I bow my head, in thanksgiving.

For all this life has given, to me.

Sad brought me to my knees.

Joy joined me there.

Life joined me there.

God joined me there.

The Universe then lifted me.

Upon Shoulders bearing the weight of my tears.

Ah, sad, I welcome you. You bring so much with you.

Oh, sad, you speak to my soul. You let me know it’s alright to cry. You cry, with me. You cry, for me.

Jesus wept.

Today, so do I.

I weep for every heart, in need of some care, today. I find my own, in that number.

Sad brought me to my knees.

humbled,

Cassandra

Be encouraged. Don’t be ashamed to cry. Don’t be ashamed to let folks see and know you cry. Healing ain’t easy. Takes everything in you.
