I realize that I have never given myself permission to be:
Sad.
Mad.
Devastated…
By the devastating tornado from last Memorial’s Day Weekend. I was too busy making sure everyone was not too upset about me possibly being upset.
I realize I never gave myself permission to be:
Sad.
Mad.
Devastated…
That my job advised me to start working when I was too traumatized to breathe, let alone work.
I realize I never gave myself permission to be:
Sad.
Mad.
Devastated…
By ride or die “friends” who rode off not caring if I lived or died.
I realize I never gave myself permission to be:
Sad.
Mad.
Devastated…
By God allowing, by Life presenting, by The Universe orchestrating such a devastating turn of events.
I realize I’m tired of playing the “I’m alright” game.
I decided to do myself a service and be 100 with ME. I texted one or two and let them know I was turning off my phone for Memorial Day Weekend so I can process and move FORWARD.
I realize I am stuck. The tornado passed physically. Still, it has remained in the corner recesses of my mind. I am ready to be free of it.
I am proud of myself. It is super stormy. Instead of being afraid, I have made sure to hydrate, eat and rest. I have spent the day watching folk do incredibly dumb things on YouTube.
I just stopped by to encourage someone and let you know that it is perfectly okay to not be alright after devastation has befallen you.
I have grown lots. I have healed much. Yet, I have a bit of grieving to do. I was so busy looking out for the world, beloveds, I forgot about me. Don’t forget about you.
asking for A Friend,

Note: Life is good. Even when it’s hard. Give yourself permission and know you are NOT your pain. I love you. So does He.
Find a way.
Make the way.
Be the way!
Be encouraged.
