Life is calling. Are you listening?
I’m doing the best I can to listen. I’m doing the best I can to understand that life is not trying to be mean.
Life calls us all to greatness. Yet we spend our lives disparaging ourselves. We doubt our gifts and talents. We dismiss our thoughts as unimportant. We spend our lives serving the needs of others because we are a bit afraid to branch out and go for our dreams and goals.
I’m no longer afraid to try. I’m no longer afraid to dream. I’m no longer afraid to be rejected. My efforts will be rejected. That’s OK. I know now that my work is not depending on what others think or not think of me.
I am worth it. I am worthy. I am worthwhile. Simply because I was born.
I was called at an early age to be an encourager. I don’t know why God chose me. I have stopped asking. I’m just doing the best I can to encourage as many souls as I can.
The direction of my life has changed. I am moving sewer towards the greatness that is inside of me. The greatness I dismissed. The greatness I scoffed at. The greatness I was afraid to believe in. I am beginning to believe in that greatness.
This is a really strange time to be a Christian. The world has kicked Christians to the curb. I don’t blame them. I am angry myself at people who has called themselves Christians, who have been the most evil and hateful people you could imagine. It saddens me.
Still, all I can do is be the best for me that I can. All I can do is continue to pray for the world. All I can do is admonish and encourage my fellow Christians to get some of that right and start loving the world the way we’re supposed to.
In the meantime, all are welcome in this space. The Unbeliever. The angry. The hopeless. The agnostic. The atheist. I shall love them all the best I can. I tell myself everyday that I refuse to see my fellow man as my enemy.
I just stopped by to. Let you know life is calling you. Are you listening? It’s time you stop judging yourself. To start loving yourself and get out there and live. We need what only you can provide. We need you just as you are.
I laugh at this version of me. She is overweight from comfort eating all of those mouths. Much of her hair has fallen out. The rest has been less Gray and laughing at me. She is financially devastated, but she laughs still. She is grateful now. She is me.
In all this hard I have learned to accept, to receive, every aspect of my nature and character.
I do my best to not sound too preachy in these WordPress streets. There are other avenues for that. In fact, beloveds, I am building a system for both secular and faith-believing audiences. I am excited. I will be sharing more details soon.
In the meantime, I love you. All of you. Even those who hate me simply for being born. I am saddened the world has been trying to divide men and women into various hate camps. Enough with that! I am doing my best to love as many as I can, to break down as many walls and barriers as I can.
Life is what we make it. Life is calling my old, fat, broke self. Life tells me to love as I am, to love as many as I can and leave the results to LIFE.
What say you?
asking for A Friend,
