Beloveds,
I’m excited π!
I picked up my bifocals and reading glasses the other day.
Initially, I was heartbroken π, thinking of how much damage the stroke did to my eyes. They told me it would take weeks to get used to the bifocals.
With the glasses I can see quite well with my right eye but everything is blurry with the left.
Today has been super difficult to the point it took three hours to get up from my wheelchair to my bed as my legs were too unstable to support my weight.
Since I can’t really feel my right leg I have to trust myself and walk. My right foot feels super numb otherwise I can now feel what I am stepping on unless really tired or numb with shoes on.
Here’s the celebration. I had been sitting in my wheelchair whilst waiting for enough energy to support legs.
I decided to encourage folk and began blog. I stopped long enough to fold and put away my laundry.
I put on my reading glasses and started fooling around with my phone.
I was brainstorming ideas and dictating things with ChatGPT that I didn’t realize I could read what I typed without having to take off my glasses!

Beloveds, I have had to take off my glasses or smash whatever I was trying to read directly in front of my face for 50 years!!

I can’t tell you how amazing this is!
Yes, I still have issues with blurred vision in my left eye but I can read with my prescription readers!
I feel like Helen Kellers’ teacher felt when Patty Duke Aston must have felt when she exclaimed “She knows!”after teaching Helen sign language.
This is a game changer for me.
I just stopped by to encourage someone to celebrate small victories. Even the tiniest victory is something to celebrate and embrace.
We truly don’t appreciate things until they are gone or altered.
I’m looking forward to all the new things I get to experience again and/or for the first time.
Embrace your life. Enjoy as many moments as possible. Even the hardest days. Remember that God has ESPECIALLY taken cared of for us, remember? God walks with and for us on ESPECIALLY tough days. π£π«π₯Ίπβ€οΈβπ©Ήβ€οΈ
Be encouraged. In case no one has told you today: I love you and so does He.
