Me: I’m afraid of this illness. It’s bad. I may not make it through THIS.
God: I got this.
God had that. I’m here. STILL.
Me: I’m afraid of this storm. It’s bad. I may not make it through THIS.
God: I got this.
God had that. I’m here. STILL.
Me: Iβm afraid of this job situation. Itβs bad. I may not make it through THIS.
God: I got this.
God has that. Iβm here. STILL.
Life happens, beloveds. There will ALWAYS be a THIS that will pop up. The true test and secret to life is learning what and how to do with THIS when it shows up.
Will you give THIS to God to help you take care of?
Will you look at THIS as nothing but the test/trial that it is?
Will you understand that you WILL get through THIS?
Will you ALLOW YOURSELF to feel what you feel, but NOT allow your feels to rule you, as you make your way through THIS?

Note: There will ALWAYS be a THIS in your life. There will ALWAYS be something to move past. To wrestle with. To make our way through.
The point is how we are going to be AFTER this has been dealt with.
What shall you be, beloveds, after your this? Who shall you be? Asking for A Friend.
Scuze me, beloveds, I am trying to get some act right so I can turn my DAMNED π LEMONS INTO UPLIFTING LEMONADE FOR YOU. OMG!!!
*Cassandra stops π‘ pouting long enough to tell her mournful, terribly sad and awfully what in the fresh hell tale*.
*Cassandra thinks she is being really dramatic about this*
*Cassandra becomes angry with reasonable Cassandra, and they get into a terribly entertaining fight*
*Tired of fighting, Cassandra shares her sad, sad, terrible tale*:
I was in the mood for π₯£ cereal. Golden Grahams to be precise. I decided to do an emergency order and ordered some cereal, some π₯ͺ sandwich fixings and odds and ends and breathlessly awaited my order.
A while later, the πͺ doorbell rings. Okay, I don’t have a doorbell, and they left the order without knocking, but still…
I fling the door open to find everything but the Golden Grahams!!! Or, so I thought.
I call the store. Calmly π‘ mad. The store was NOT helpful. Rude, in fact.
I had to tell act right to STAY on the high road. In truth, I dearly wanted to use the low road. I chose the high road.
I told myself to just make sandwiches π₯ͺ after remembering the sandwich fixings.
Dramatically, I pulled out turkey, cheese, and reach for the buns, and there were no buns!! They forgot the buns and canned goods as well!!!! OMG!!!
I wanted to act a fool. I didn’t. In the end, I found some old buns and made some sandwiches. I ordered more cereal. I got on with my life.
Life is short, beloveds. Things happen. Inconvenient things. Frustrating things. Things that will make the way a bit longer.
That’s okay. Roll with the punches. Go another way. Try something different. Make a new plan. Refurbish the old one.
I used this situation to make ME better. I chose not to be angry with the driver. I chose not to be angry with the store. I chose not to be angry.
I chose to laugh. I chose to get on with my evening. In the past, I would have spent the rest of the evening stewing. I would have gone to bed hungry. I would have played the martyr and not fixed something else to eat.
I am growing. Slowly. I am learning. Slowly. I am hungry…lol.
I’m fixing to enjoy some sammiches. Who wants to join me?

Note: It’s not what happens to us that counts. It’s what happens IN us as we choose to respond in ways that uplifts us and others. Keep on being the awesome folk you are. I love me some you.
God, I don’t know what to do. I just don’t know what to do. Where do I go? Where do I turn? I just don’t know what to do.
I still don’t, beloveds. Rest has been hard to come by. Guilt keeps stopping by to tell me I should be working. I SHOULD be doing some frantic SOMETHING.
God has been silent. The Universe has told me to chill. Life says to TRUST that all is still well. Ack. Geeeeeeeeeeeeez.
Still, I am comforted by my try. I keep telling myself to just try, Cassandra. Everything really WILL be alright.
Be encouraged, beloveds. We truly will be alright.Β The storm is just extra loud and scary just now. It WILL pass. New things ARE growing. As are we.
Hang in there. In the meantime, cut yourself some slack. We got this. We CAN. We WILL.
I am carrying each of you around in my pocket so I can pray for you and yours. No shoving each other in there! Be nice or no snacks!…lol.
I keep reminding my age of this. I keep reminding my try of this.
I can.
I want to.
I will.
Some kind of way.
What shall YOU do, beloveds?
You can, you know?
Try. Just try.

Note: Everything around me tells me all is hopeless. Ha, I reply back! I can. I can do something. The something may be small. Yet, ONE spark can π₯ burn down a forest!
Use your spark to change things. Starting with you. Today may be the day the world opens itself for you. In the meantime, open yourself to all life has to offer.
The best is yet to come for us. Wait for it. Be patient. Be joyful. Life is as we are making it. I am making my days glorious. How about you?
