Repeat after me: I can.

#YourLifeMattersToMe

Note: You can, beloveds. Believe in:

You!

Try, just try. The results are not on you. They are not. Don’t worry that your pile looks much smaller, than your neighbors. You don’t know what they had to go through to make their pile, so darned high! Wow! ‘Sides, your pile was meant, for YOU. God/Life/The Universe has made sure your pile, of try, shall bring you joy.

Just take a step. ONE. One step. One step. One step.

You are loved. You are NOT alone. Keep on being… YOU

Tell fear take two seats.

Folk are afraid.

Of everything, nowadays.

It’s high time folk told fear to:

Take TWO seats!

Kick rocks!

Scat!

Okay, beloveds, I told fear to leave you be. Now, get about your say. Life is much too short to be worrying about all you have been worrying on.

Carry on. You have a life to live. Get out there and LIVE!

STOP hiding your heart behind walls. Afraid you will be hurt. News flash: You WILL be hurt, from the to time.

Life hurts, at times. Yet, life is sooooooooooo worth LIVING.

STOP existing and barely scraping by. Try, just try. So what, I you fail. You will. So what, if you succeeded and are afraid you won’t sustain the success. Enjoy every moment. ALL of them.

What are you doing here, still?! Get gone. You got thangs to do!

doing thangs with you,

Cassandra

#YourLifeMattersToMe

Note: Okay, yall supposed to be about being about it. Smh. Life is short. Here, take my love with you and share some with someone…*Cassandra scrambled some love down some folk…oops*

You are loved. You are NOT alone. Keep on being… YOU

Repeat after me: The only one standing between you and your dream is you.

Repeat after me:

They only want standing between you and your dream as you.

The only thing holding you back is your fear.

The only one who can walk away is you.

Nuff said!

Now get out there and make it happen, beloveds.

getting after it,

Cassandra

#YourLifeMattersToMe

Note: What the world you still doing here?! Go! Live! Hurry!

One step.

One step.

One step.

You are loved.

You are NOT alone.

Keep on being… YOU

Fear, I am no longer afraid to feel…you.

Hey, fear.

Yes, I’m talking to you!

Surprised?

I imagine you are.

You are not used to seeing me, up close.

You were used to seeing me, fear, with my head down.

Afraid.

Afraid to:

Feel.

Acknowledge.

Hurt.

Cry.

I was always told I couldn’t cry. I was always till I had to be strong. I was always told that I could never be afraid.

So, I learned to be terrified of you, fear. After a while, fear, I forgot why I was supposed to fear…you?

I have learned.

I learn, still.

To:

Feel.

Acknowledge.

Hurt.

Cry.

For, I know, I am not strong. I don’t have to be.

Still, I am loved.

Still, I am not alone.

I shall continue to be…me.

Unapologetically.

Sometimes, afraid.

Loved, alway!

Yes, fear, ALL you do, when you show your face, is give me yet the opportunity to love, in spite of, because of, despite you!

I have to go now, fear. You thought you stopped me. You didn’t. I got thangs to do!

doing thangs unapologetically,

Cassandra

#YourLifeMattersToMe

Note: This blog has changed my life. Truly. It has forced me to get to know…Me! Don’t be afraid, beloveds. To, ask. To, wonder. To, wander. To, fear. To, fret. To, feel.

Turn down, the noise. Listen, to your heart. Be encouraged. You are loved and not alone.

Fear, I’m afraid I no longer fear you.

Hey, fear.

Hate to break this breaking news, to you.

I’m afraid, fear that I no longer fear you.

Nope.

Nada.

Nary a wit, do I.

About you.

It’s time, fear, that YOU fear ME!

You, see, fear, God has helped me, to see you, for what you are:

An imagined, foe.

A finite, thing.

A wisp, in the wind, of change.

A possible friend, keeping me, from harm.

A possible foe, keeping me, from pursuing my dreams.

An imaginary monster, tucked into the closet of unknown.

God says:

Fear not.

Therefore:

I shall not:

Fear.

Run.

Hide.

Stress.

Fret.

Ah, fear, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, for you. For, I am YOUR bad news, today!

I can.

I have.

I will.

Go away now, fear.

I have thangs to do, I fear.

doing them thangs without fear,

Cassandra

#YourLifeMattersToMe

Note: Tell fear to shut up, beloveds. We got thangs to do, remember? Seize this day. You CAN. You already have.

You are loved.

You are NOT alone.

Keep on being…YOU

Take the leap, Cassandra

I find myself shakened.

Stirred.

Breathless.

Restless.

Why?

I know not.

The Universe calls.

“Take the leap, Cassandra”.

Where?

I know not.

Life beckons.

“Take the leap, Cassandra”.

Where will I land?

I know not.

“Take the leap, Cassandra”.

God asks.

What if I fail?

I know not.

leaping while knowing not,

Cassandra

#YourLifeMattersToMe

Note: Take the leap, beloveds. Where? Why? What if you fail? Ah. Aha! Keep asking!

One step.

One step.

One step.

You are loved.

You are NOT alone.

Keep on being… YOU

Just take a step.

I love this quote.

Fear keeps us from taking a step. I’m learning how to take a step regardless of where my foot made land.

My new training is tough. It’s hard. It’s boring. It’s necessary.

Life can be like by training class. Life is a training class. We only get one life, though. I’m doing the best I can to make mine count.

I am uncertain.

I hesitate.

I wonder if the ground is firm underneath me.

I wonder if I have the stamina to make it the whole way.

I wonder if my efforts will lead to anything.

I shall go anyway.

I shall see what becomes of my steps.

I shall see what becomes of me.

Ah.

Aha!

I just want to try. I want to see what my dreams look and feel like. I wonder if they will ever come true.

In the meantime, I will continue to try. I will continue to encourage you to try.

Be encouraged.

You CAN.

You WILL!

trying,

Cassandra

Note: Just take a step. You have no idea where you will end up. Go…

Time to take care of you.

It’s Saturday.

Is time for us to rest. We have done our work. We have done our best.

It’s time to rest. It’s time to reflect on all that we have accomplished for the week. It’s time to celebrate our try.

Rest now.

Take care of you now.

Don’t worry about the days to come. The day will take care of itself. Take care of you. You are important. Feel good about what you have done. It’s not on you how others respond to what you have done.

Be encouraged. You have much to be thankful for. You are still here. You can begin again any time you want to. You can make friends anytime you want to. You can forgive yourself with others anytime you want to. Make the choice to be happy today. Make the choice to rest today.

Remember you are loved and you are not alone.

resting with you,

Cassandra

Note: Too often, we give ourselves a hard time about what we did or did not do. We have done or best, haven’t we? Let that be enough…

Repeat after me: It Is Well.

Repeat after me:

It is well.

Nuff said.

#YourLifeMattersToMe

Note: Life has been awfully scary, this year. Bad, weather. Worse, finances. Rough, health issues. Seems like fights have broken out, everywhere. EVERYWHERE! Whew.

Yet, this year has been one of learning and experiencing and loving and crying and whining, er, praying and believing and not believing and trying and not trying and hoping and feeling hopeless and…you get my point.

The key, THE key, is to REMAIN:

Resolute.

Steadfast.

Joyful.

Faithful.

Hopeful.

We, each of us, CHOOSE, how are days, shall be. True, we can not choose that the day will come. Once day has arrived, we choose how we shall receive it.

Every day, now, I say out loud “This is the day the Lord has made. I SHALL rejoice and BE GLAD IN IT”. Psalm 118:24. This helps me get going and focused on the fact that I am the one, who determines what my day shall bring/be like.

Repeat after me:

It is well.

No matter what happens, beloveds, it IS well. Life is short.

When you have lost it all, remember you have not lost it all.

Losing, hurts.

Losing, helps one, keep perspective.

Losing, helps one, find perspective.

Losing, can help you find your way.

Losing, can help you let go.

Losing, can help you win.

It all depends on what you have lost:

Hope?

Fear?

Joy?

Doubt?

When you lose, take heart. Your greatest victories, often come on the heels of, your worst defeats.

Don’t lose, heart. Don’t lose, hope, when you lose.

It’s all in your perspective.

There is often addition, by subtraction. I am most grateful for the things God said no to, then some of the yes’.

Hold things, loosely. Leave the important things, in God’s Hands. They will be safe there.

As for the rest? The things you truly need, The Universe shall make sure you have!

Be encouraged. Embrace the day and all you may lose/gain, within it.

winning with you,

Cassandra
