God: Why do you get all up in your feelings when I don’t come rushing to your rescue every other five minutes?
Me:…*stamps foot*…You are SUPPOSED to rush to my rescue when I am at my most desperate!?
God: Why? Have I not told you NOT to worry? Did I not promise to be there for you? Haven’t I made sure to feed the birds?
Me: Well…
I’m trying not to be a crybaby. I’m trying to take ownership. I’m trying to be about being about it. I’m trying. all this trying is terribly trying…lol.
I’m trying to fill up my soul with some uplifting music. It feels good. I feel good to focus on something other than a bank. account and no job.
I am in the spot for a reason. I have no idea what that reason is. I used to be angry about it. I used to be mad at fate and God because of having it so damned hard. I argued with God that I should have been spared because I’m a good person and I have tried to live a good life.
The truth is that life happens to all of us. None of us are exempt from hard times. None of us can buy our way out of hard times. Hard times come. They shall also go.
We have to keep keeping on. Until the hard times pass. Until we receive our breakthrough. In the meantime, we have to keep making our way the best we can.
I’m done fighting with God. I’m finished with fighting with myself. I’m going to do my best and see what comes out in the wash. I suggest you do the same.

Note: It’s amazing what happens when you take your focus off of the things you fear. I have spent a delightful day planning for my future and enjoying my present. It has been nice to feel something other than fear, dread and doubt.
I’m looking forward to what comes next. How about you?
I love, love, loooooove this song! I AM a bad mama jamma!
I love the song because it reminds me of how AWESOME I am!
Yaaaasssssss!
I sing it to myself and soak up the awesome way it makes me feel about ME. Not because of thinking of some man admiring my wonderful self.
The point is really not about some man ogling a good-looking woman. It’s more about walking comfortably in your skin. To me, anyway.
I’ve never had an ogling. I had to learn ogle myself…hahahahahahahaha!
All kidding aside, it’s important to affirm oneself. ALL of ourselves. The big me. The getting old me. The broke me. The what in fresh hell is THIS part of me. She be a bad mamma jamma!
Be sure to show yourself some love today. Be sure to affirm yourself today. Be sure to show yourself some grace today.
Me: WHY You have ALWAYS remained silent through the most frustrating/hard/maddening times of my life.
God: Why, beloved?
Me: Your Silence forced me to question.
God: Question what?
Me: You. Me. You, again. Me, again.
God: What did My Silence force you to question?
Me: Your Love. For ME. And, whether you loved me at all. And, whether I was worthy of Your or anyone else’s love.
God: Ah.
Me: Your Silence also forced me to…
God: To what?
Me: I don’t know, really. I just know Your Silence had me getting awfully loud demanding Life, The Universe, my try, You, my circumstances, my situations to turn loose my dreams.
God: Good! Keep going.
Me: K.
I have been finding my voice. It has not been easy. It has not been pleasant listening to what she has had to say to me. I have had to apologize for dismissing her voice. For dismissing MY voice.
If you are going through a period of silence just now, maybe, you are being asked to find your own voice. If so, speak up. Your words matter. As do you. Let’s use our voices together.
I am listening to Mandisa’s “Overcomer”. My heart still grieves her loss. I can’t believe she’s gone.
The rest of us left behind HAVE to keep going!
We ARE overcomers! We ARE overcoming!
We CAN.
We WILL!
After Mandisa passed away, beloveds, I wanted to hide this song and never listen to it again. Her loss hurt. Someone soooooo talented and inspiring snatched away much too soon.
Then, Life told me to play her song. She finished her earthly race. My journey has yet to be completed.
I don’t know how many more days I have left. I plan on using them to love as many folks as I can get my hands on!
I love folk. Call me cra cra if you must. I love you anyway!
*Cassandra considers hurling her 50 inch πΊ television over the balcony railing. Cassandra opts not to as it is freezing outside and she won’t have something to watch later.*
Jiminy Cricket, beloveds. I am trying to cram some technology knowledge into this brain of mine so I can get some uplifting videos made so I can encourage folk…*sigh*.
I have never been good at technology of any kind. It intimidates me. I don’t know why. I enjoy learning about any and everything.
For whatever reason, just the thought of doing anything having to do with computers or electronics short circuits my brain. I feel stupid. I feel small. I feel helpless.
EVERY time. The older I get, the harder it is for my brain to relax and learn.
I will overcome this. I HAVE to. My dreams are on the other side of THIS particular hard. Ah, it seems another THIS(fear of computer learning) is trying to keep me from THAT(my dream).
We all have our THIS to fight so we can get on with our THAT.
What is holding you back, beloveds? What is it that is causing you to feel a tad helpless/hopeless?
2025 is the year we FINALLY deal with THIS so we can get on with THAT.
I don’t want to go back to a job that merely pays the rent. Life is short. I am choosing to find a way to monetize my particular brand of foolishness so I can make my living loving on the whole damned world.
If anyone can point the way to a good teaching YouTube channel or blog so I can competently use Capcut and Canva, please post a link in the comments or shoot me an email. Save my πΊ television. π₯°π
Life is short. Begin anyway. Keep trying. Keep moving forward.
