BE your mission statement.

This is my mission statement:

I will find a way, make a way, or be the way.

I had been tired of using the excuse that I didn’t know how. I didn’t know where. I didn’t know who.

I was tired of crying about not having the “opportunity”.

I knocked. I knocked. I knocked.

Nothing.

I decided to knock down the walls of my doubt. I determined to destroy ever section of “I can’t”. I decided…

I decided?!

Ah.

Aha!

Then, I told myself I was going to find a way, make a way, or be the way. Periodt!

To that resolve, beloveds, I have determined to BE my mission statement.

I have no idea where my journey is taking me. That said, I plan on enjoying every frustrating and hard step. These are the steps ordered for me. I shall skip a while…

being about that life,

One step.

One step.

One step.

You are loved.

You are NOT alone.

Keep on being…YOU!

Exam the failure. Examine your RESPONSE to the failure.

You failed.

It hurts.

I sowwy.

Now, beloveds, it’s time to exam the failure, sans emotions.

Were your motives pure?

Did you do your best?

Did you give all YOU had?

Did you ask for help if help was needed?

If you did those things, move on to WHY things failed. The nuts and πŸ”© bolts of the thing.

Do you need more study?

Do you need more time?

Is this something important enough to move forward with?

Is this something needed for your success?

Once you have dissected the failure, exam your RESPONSE to the failure.

Did you become angry with you? Did you berate yourself for the loss?

Were you understanding? Did you recognize that failure comes with the process?

Did you pick up your toys and stomp home? Or, did you exam the failure and proceed to devise another try or approach?

What you DO, beloveds, AFTER the setback,Β  AFTER the disappointment, AFTER the heartache is the whole ballgame.

You failed. It happens. It’s part of achieving great things. Knowing this helpful.

I am not my failures. Neither are you, yours. We failed. Too bad. Boo hook. There. We have had a cry.

We get up. We move on. Simple as that. Let’s go.

You are loved.

You are NOT alone.

Keep on being…YOU!

Filling the other half: You’ve Got A Way

I love this song!…Β Β  *hugs self*

Love on you today, beloveds. You deserve so much more than you have given you lately.

Let’s cut ourselves a wee bit more slack, eh?

Things WILL get better. How do I know?

Things WILL get better. How do I know?

They couldn’t possibly get worse.🀣😳🀨

Like a big goof, I made the mistake of laying directly underneath the fan. I KNOW better. Smh.

Sure enough, beloveds, I woke with a nasty cold. Day shook it’s head at me and handed me a cough drop. My dreams said “I really hate that for you” and pointed me to my work chair.

Whatever state you find yourself in today, beloveds, make sure to get a laugh or two in there.

Do what you can. If a bit tired, go a bit more slowly.

Have a wonderful day.

I’m disappointed but not deterred.

Whew.

Whew!!

Disappointment came raging in. Bad. Loud. Big 😑 mad.

That made me mad.

What did I DO about my mad, beloveds?

I reached out for support. I prayed just a smidge. I made sure to eat and hydrate.

I wrote a tad. I watched an old show.

I kept being good to me.

In times past, I would have spent countless hours making love to Doritoes and mini chocolate donuts.

Or, I would have πŸ—‘ wasted countless moments blaming me, God, me, life, me, you, me, Life, me, the weather, me…you get my point.

I have learned, through countless hard miles, to keep being good to me, to keep it moving, to keep being honest, to keep doing something.

Disappointment has a way of sucking the do out of us. Leaving us to feel helpless and hopeless. We are not.

We were just hugely disappointed. It happens. Often.

I have given myself the day off to rest and spend some time with my why.

Why? So, I can make sure I am doing this because I choose to, because I want to, because I must.

Even after all this time, my why has stayed my why.

Why? I have been asking myself this exasperating question for 56 years.

I had a nice tantrum yesterday, telling God that my WHY DOESN’T PAY THE BILLS!!!!

It hasn’t. So far. I told myself I would find a regular job and leave why up to its own devises. If only I could. Crapola!

Be encouraged, beloveds. The Universe is not picking on us for entertainment. There truly are things we were born to do and give to the 🌎 world.

Your dream may be mixed up in my why…*shrug*

Until they hear, keep talking. Until it works, keep trying.

Nuff said.

Note: I called about a new modem. The agent clearly did not understand. He blamed the weather. I told him the weather put out the modem. He blamed the apartment for losing power. I let him know everything else was working. He wasn’t trying to hear me. I thanked him for trying.

I called about a new modem. I explained the last agent didn’t understand. I said maybe I had not explained clearly. I explained. She understood. A new modem is on the way.

Communication is not always easy, beloveds. Still, we HAVE to give each other room to misunderstand, to miss communicating, to mess up. Then, we need to give each other some grace.

There will be days when we just don’t hear one another. That’s okay. Let’s make sure we continue to care about and for one another!

In case no one has told you today: I love you. So does He.

What do you do when losing wins?

What do you do when losing wins?

What do you do when the answer is no?

What do you do when the doors just won’t open for you?

You keep trying.

You keep asking.

You keep knocking.

Simple as that.

Be encouraged.

Note: I had to stop everything as my vertigo got bad enough to fell me like a giant oak. Smh.

In addition, I can’t do a lick with this Hotspot. I have to wait until I get a new modem delivered.

Annoying. I tried to make it do what it did. It didn’t.

Instead of giving in to despair,  I chose to shift gears and work on some pieces. I can do SOMETHING.

Remember, beloveds, there is always SOMETHING we can do. No, things may not be ideal. We are still here.

Do what you can. Enjoy your day. Laugh at your frustrations. You may as well use them for your good!

I must admit this sustained hard, with my vertigo, has been terribly hard the past week or so. I want to do things that I can’t. I want to go places I can’t. I want….ack! I am stuck, in bed, waiting for the barometric pressure to calm down enough to stop squeezing the atmosphere.

When life gets to squeezing you, beloveds, take heart. It’s not personal. Life is just lifing. What you perceive as your fault is simply the atmosphere around you being affected by things you can’t see.

Keep going. Enjoy your life. Even with the world spinning on it’s axis…lol. We got this.

One step.

One step.

One step.

You are loved.

You are NOT alone.

Keep on being…YOU!

Keep planting your seeds.

Keep planting your seeds, beloveds.

I wanted to tell my seeds to kick rocks!

They were taking too long! Ack! Jimeny Crickets!!

I had to tell act right to be patient and get some act right already.

NOTHING will grow, beloveds, if we are forever digging up the plant to check the root.

ALL we can do is plant. Then, tend. Then, water. Then, pull weeds. Then, wait. Rinse. Repeat.

Embrace the process. What we plant may be for someone else to eat.

Plant your seeds, beloveds. The Universe sees you and WILL reward your faithfulness.

Be encouraged.

I have stopped wasting my time. πŸ—‘

I have been spending this day getting my desktop πŸ–₯ organized. Making separate πŸ“‚ folders. Putting things in their proper place.

I have πŸ—‘ wasted sooooo much time looking for things from messed up places/spaces!

Life is much too short, beloveds, to be wasting time sifting through lazy and foolishness. Enough!

It’s time to organize. It’s time to prepare. It’s time to study. For me, at least. I can’t speak for others.

What can you get rid of, organize, shift to save yourself some time?

Be about getting about it!

For Frank. For you. For me.

Dear Frank,

This letter, my response to your response, has been two years in the making. 30 plus, if truth be told. A lifetime’s worth, if I were to keep it 100.

These words are for EVERY heart that has ever wondered if they REALLY mattered. Mattered for more than being a breadwinner. More than being beautiful or successful or a million other superficial things that have NOTHING to do with a person’s worth.

Frank, EVERYTHING inside me has been wanting to pack up my words, πŸ” close off my heart, and join the bajillions of folk who have decided to hide in a world of mediocre survival.

Life seems easier that way. Of course, it’s not. It’s debilitating. It’s agonizing. So much so, folk turn up the noise of distraction so as not to hear their heart begging to be free. Begging to be able to be:

Foolish.

Ridiculous.

Wrong.

Loud.

Seen.

Heard.

Validated.

Since I was young, God has told me to encourage folk. To let folk know that everything really will be alright. He told me to tell folk, EVERY day, that they are loved and not alone.

My words seems as though they fall on deaf ears because I am not wrapped in money, fame, looks, stature and all the other lies the 🌎 world tells us we HAVE to have in order to be loved.

We don’t need those things. Yet, I have had to fight to regain my confidence, my self-love, and respect since a tornado πŸŒͺ tore things up here last Memorial Day Weekend.

Every since then, I have had to remind myself I am still worthy, worth it and worthwhile. I am more than the job I no longer have. I am much more than my empty bank account. I tell myself this EVERY day.

I climb on here, every day, to let someone KNOW that they ARE valuable. Just because they were born.

I’m 56, loud but growing more silent as I wonder if it’s worth it. If the silence is worth it. If the ghosting is worth it.

I posted my encouragement to TikTok and Instagram and sighed at the seven or eight and sometimes 20 folk that stop by to be encouraged.

Then. I remember I post for them. For you, Frank. For me.

I have been crying out to God, literally, and asking what I am doing wrong? Why, can’t I get the financial doors to open so I can encourage the 🌎 world like I truly want to.

God stays silent. Through all my soul searching. Through all my job searching. Through all my GoFundMe asking. It has been embarrassing to see the 🌎 cares very little for me or my words.

Still, I shall continue to care. Why? So, I can meet a priceless soul called Frank so I can give him these words, my words, bathed in love and prayer:

Beloved, this world is short. Be loud. Unapologetically. Throw aside those fears. Take then with you if you must. I should have quit my job five years ago. Not because I didn’t love it, Frank. But, because it was time for me move on and start my channel, my blog, my this, that and the other. I didn’t.

I was afraid. Afraid that God would not catch me when I fell. God promised to be there. I was afraid to believe.

In ME. You may think this strange, Frank, but fighting with feelings of inadequacy, since the tornado, has brought out a tenacity I never knew I had soooooooooo much of.

Frank, there is so much love, peace and joy waiting for you on the other side of your fear. You have so much to experience. Go on now, Frank. Get to know you as you fight for your dreams.

I don’t have much. Yet, I have EVERYTHING. I have deep love for my fellow man. I have a wonderful relationship with God. I have family who loves me. I love nature, saying dumb things, doing ridiculous things.

I love burning brownies, making world class chili, watching cooking shows from all over the world.

I love…Ah. Aha!

Frank, your heart IS ready. What are YOU waiting for? Get out there and live. Would love to yak more. Email me at ttnette37@yahoo.com if you are of a mind.

Note: I feel inadequate today. I wish I could remove every hurt from every heart. I wish that I could remove every obstacle. I can’t. I can love. I do. I will. I am. Be encouraged. Your voice matters. It does.

I don’t know why The Universe keeps the πŸšͺ door closes to me. Maybe so I can keep hollering for and
