There are a million things I either can’t do, now, or may never do again. It’s hard acknowledging that.
I am working hard to focus 💪 on what I CAN do. NOW. AT THIS time. HERE.
Now is all we have, eh.
It’s okay, beloveds, to cry over what has been lost. Yeah, it hurts. A lot.
Go ahead and grieve. Then, get up.
STOP focusing on what’s gone. The eggs 🥚 have already broken. Make an omelet and keep it moving! What are you holding back from yourself because you think you can’t do it?
Find a new way. Find YOUR way.
Being forced to limit how much I can do and say is building building me new vocabulary. I have to use autocorrect to my advantage. I choose the one hand keyboard option. Who knew there was such a thing!
I am finding new ways to do things. MY way. So what if it takes an hour to put on a pair of 👖 pants. There are now days where I can’t. On those days, I give myself the permission to struggle!
Give yourself permission to struggle your way through the blessed thing. Whew!
Focus on what you CAN do. Leave the rest alone.

Yesterday was hard. The day before that was a complete disaster! No one could understand me. I could not form a complete thought.
In frustration, I utilized my ” phone a friend option and 📞 called a friend.
I cried. I cried some more. She listened. She didn’t offer to make the call for me. I chose to give myself permission to put hard down for the rest of the day and try again the next day.
Next day, I tried again. It took a thousand calls and a year’s worth of aggravation but I got the job done.
Then, I did not want to get up, get dressed, and get outside for walking. It was 🔥 hot. Already! Still, I got up, got dressed, and kept it moving. My Physical Therapist offered to let me only do one lap
I did NOT take the out. In fact, beloveds, for punishment, I made myself walk farther!
I told myself that I would NOT give myself an out. I chose to try. I had no idea how much I could do. I ended up walking almost 950 feet
For me, those 950 feet may as well have been ten miles. Whew. As I walked I was cheered on by a neighbor was on a walk of her own
I didn’t feel disabled. For the first time, beloved, I felt 👍 👌 like me.
Legally, I am now classified as disabled.
Yet, I AM able. I am capable. I am ready. I am more than a conqueror!
We must hold ourselves accountable. Stop giving yourself an out! There are no excuses. There are no victims here. Choose to try. Give it your 👌 best effort, okay 👍?
Note: I could cry ALL day. I can’t. I have to make myself get dressed and ready for physical therapy in two hours. Crap! Why the heck quitting can NEVER is beyond me
If I can not quit then neither can you. I am so distraught I can’t remember if I am supposed to use then or than! Ahhhhhhh, God, what in the fresh heck do I DO with me now! Be encouraged. Whew!!!!
Me: I wanted to and tried to quit a billion times.
God: I know.
Me: I don’t know how long I can hold on. To, You. For, me.
God: I know.
Me: I don’t know if I can hold on.
God: I know.
Me: The ground feels awful shaky, just now.
God: I know.
Me: Ah. God. I just don’t KNOW!
God: I know. Now, beloved, put your faith in Me! I got this. What’s more is that I’ve got you! Trust Me.
