❤️‍🔥OPEN YOUR HANDS ❤️‍🔥

AUGUST 23, 2026

OPEN YOUR HANDS ❤️‍🔥

Grace Cannot Be Earned. Love Must Sometimes Be Received.

Beloveds,

We’ve spent several days talking about receiving love.

And after everything we’ve uncovered, I think we’re finally ready for the question underneath all the others:

Can you receive something you cannot repay?

👀❤️‍🔥

Not borrow.

Not earn.

Not exchange.

Not deserve because you’ve been especially good lately.

Not put on layaway. 😭😆

Receive.

That’s it.

And for some of us, that may be one of the hardest things anybody could ask us to do.

Because we’ve learned how to work.

We’ve learned how to survive.

We’ve learned how to give.

We’ve learned how to perform.

We’ve learned how to make ourselves useful.

We’ve learned how to protect ourselves from strings.

We’ve learned how to avoid owing anybody.

We’ve learned how to say:

“I’m good.”

Even when good packed its bags three exits ago.

😭😆❤️‍🔥

But receiving?

Receiving requires open hands.

And some of us have lived with clenched fists for a very long time.

❤️‍🔥 WHY ARE OUR HANDS CLOSED?

Sometimes because we’re afraid.

Sometimes because we’re ashamed.

Sometimes because we’ve been hurt.

Sometimes because gifts have been weaponized against us.

Sometimes because we’ve confused needing help with weakness.

Sometimes because we’ve built our identity around being the giver.

Sometimes because we genuinely don’t know who we are when somebody else is taking care of us.

And sometimes…

we simply don’t believe we’re worthy of what is being offered.

💔

So love comes.

And instead of receiving it, we interrogate it.

Why are you doing this?

Love comes.

We minimize it.

You really didn’t have to.

Love comes.

We apologize.

I’m sorry you had to do all this for me.

Love comes.

We promise repayment.

I’ll make it up to you.

Love comes.

And before it has even finished arriving, we’ve turned it into a debt.

😭❤️‍🔥

Maybe that’s what some of us need to stop doing.

Not because gratitude doesn’t matter.

Gratitude matters enormously.

But gratitude says:

“Thank you for what you’ve given.”

Guilt says:

“I need to get rid of this uncomfortable feeling of having received more than I gave.”

Those are different.

❤️‍🔥 OPEN HANDS CANNOT CONTROL EVERYTHING

This is where receiving becomes frightening.

A clenched fist feels powerful.

I control what stays.

I control what leaves.

I control what gets close.

But an open hand?

An open hand is vulnerable.

An open hand can give.

But an open hand can also receive.

👀❤️‍🔥

Maybe that’s why love requires both.

If my hands are permanently clenched, eventually I cannot receive OR give freely.

Everything becomes control.

Everything becomes accounting.

Everything becomes:

Who owes whom?

But love wasn’t designed to live inside a ledger.

❤️‍🔥

💔 MAYBE YOU REALLY DID NEED THEM

Here’s another sentence some of us struggle to say:

“I needed you.”

Not:

It would’ve been nice if you came.

Not:

I could’ve managed.

Not:

I would’ve figured something out.

Maybe you would have.

That’s not the point.

Maybe the truth is simply:

I needed you.

And you came.

😭❤️‍🔥

Why does admitting that feel so vulnerable?

Because need acknowledges that another person’s presence mattered.

And once somebody matters, we can no longer pretend we’re completely self-contained.

But beloveds…

we were never meant to be self-contained.

Human beings need human beings.

Babies arrive needing somebody.

Children need somebody.

Adults need somebody.

Older people need somebody.

Grieving people need somebody.

Celebrating people need somebody.

Sick people need somebody.

Healthy people need somebody.

Strong people need somebody.

Weak people need somebody.

Even the person who insists:

“I DON’T NEED NOBODY!”

usually needs somebody to hear the announcement.

😭😆❤️‍🔥

We need one another.

Not every person.

Not every relationship.

Not without boundaries.

Not without wisdom.

But we need community.

❤️‍🔥 YOU CAN NEED HELP WITHOUT LOSING YOURSELF

Receiving doesn’t mean surrendering your identity.

Receiving doesn’t mean becoming helpless.

Receiving doesn’t mean abandoning independence.

Receiving doesn’t mean everybody gets unlimited access to your life.

Receiving doesn’t mean you owe somebody control over you.

Receiving simply says:

“There is something I cannot—or should not have to—carry alone right now.”

And then:

“Thank you for helping me carry it.”

That’s it.

❤️‍🔥

No shame ceremony required.

No emotional repayment schedule.

No thirty-page apology.

No:

“Dear everybody, I regret to inform you that I have temporarily become a human being.”

😭😆❤️‍🔥

You were human yesterday too.

You just needed less visible help.

❤️‍🔥 AND THEN THERE IS GRACE

Now we reach the heart of it.

Because everything we’ve been talking about with human love points me toward something much bigger.

Grace.

Grace is difficult for people who need to earn everything.

Because grace refuses our favorite arrangement.

We want:

Work → earn → deserve → receive.

Grace says:

Receive → be changed → respond.

👀🙏🏾❤️‍🔥

Scripture says:

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:”
“Not of works, lest any man should boast.”
— Ephesians 2:8–9, KJV

There it is.

Gift.

Not paycheck.

Not trophy.

Not reimbursement.

Gift.

And what do you do with a gift?

You receive it.

😭❤️‍🔥

But some of us keep trying to hand God a résumé.

Look what I’ve done.

Look how hard I’ve tried.

Look how useful I’ve been.

Look how many people I’ve helped.

Look how strong I’ve stayed.

And grace keeps saying:

Put the résumé down.

👀

Because if grace could be earned…

it wouldn’t be grace.

❤️‍🔥 GOD IS NOT RUNNING AN EMOTIONAL COLLECTION AGENCY

Somebody needs this.

We sometimes receive God’s goodness and immediately think:

“Now I owe Him.”

But Christianity isn’t Jesus doing us a favor and then spending eternity saying:

“After everything I did for you…”

💔

No.

Grace changes us precisely because it isn’t manipulation.

We don’t obey because we’re trying to pay Jesus back.

How could we?

What payment would equal the Cross?

What performance settles that account?

There isn’t one.

❤️‍🔥

We respond because love has changed what we desire.

“We love him, because he first loved us.”
— 1 John 4:19, KJV

There is that order again.

He first loved us.

Then…

we love.

Grace comes first.

Response follows.

❤️‍🔥 STOP TRYING TO PAY BACK LOVE. PASS IT ON.

Maybe that’s the shift.

When somebody loves us well, we don’t have to obsess over getting the balance back to zero.

We can allow love to keep moving.

Someone encourages me.

I receive it.

Later, I encourage somebody else.

Someone feeds me when I cannot manage.

I receive it.

Someday I find another way to nourish somebody else.

Someone sits beside me while I cry.

I receive it.

Later, somebody cries beside me…

and I don’t run from their tears.

😭❤️‍🔥

Someone carries me.

I receive it.

Then one day, perhaps in a completely different way…

I carry somebody.

That’s not repayment.

That’s multiplication.

👀❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

Love wasn’t returned to sender.

Love kept traveling.

Imagine communities like that.

Nobody keeping perfect score.

Everybody giving according to ability.

Everybody receiving according to need.

Boundaries honored.

Gratitude expressed.

Manipulation rejected.

Shame refused.

People allowed to be human.

🌎❤️‍🔥

One person saying:

“I have extra strength today. Lean on me.”

Another saying:

“Thank you. I need it.”

And nobody losing dignity.

❤️‍🔥 MAYBE THE REAL CHALLENGE ISN’T RECEIVING HELP

Maybe it’s receiving love without editing ourselves first.

Not:

Love me after I get stronger.

Not:

Love me when I’m less complicated.

Not:

Love me once I can give more back.

Not:

Love me when I stop needing so much.

Not:

Love me when I become the old me again.

Just:

Love me here.

😭❤️‍🔥

HERE.

In this body.

In this season.

In this grief.

In this uncertainty.

In this rebuilding.

In this mess.

In this beginning again.

Here.

And perhaps somebody who genuinely loves you is saying:

“That’s exactly where I’ve been trying to love you.”

WHEW.

😭❤️‍🔥

❤️‍🔥 THE CASSANDRA CHALLENGE

Today, open your hands.

Literally, if you can.

Look at them.

And ask yourself:

“What love am I resisting because I don’t know how to repay it?”

Then ask:

“What would happen if I simply said thank you?”

No promise.

No apology.

No immediate return favor.

Just:

Thank you.

Let your heart sit there.

❤️ DAILY LOVE CHALLENGE

Receive one thing today.

A compliment.

Help.

Encouragement.

Prayer.

Time.

Patience.

A hug.

A listening ear.

A kindness.

And instead of saying:

“You shouldn’t have…”

try:

“Thank you. That means a lot to me.”

Then let the moment finish.

Don’t chase love out of the room because receiving it makes you uncomfortable.

❤️‍🔥

🙌 DAILY VICTORY

Today I will remember:

I can receive without becoming entitled.

I can be grateful without becoming indebted.

I can need help without becoming helpless.

I can accept love without surrendering healthy boundaries.

I can be carried without losing my dignity.

And:

I do not have to earn grace.

🙏🏾 MORNING PRAYER

Father,

Our hands are tired.

Some of us have been gripping everything so tightly.

Control.

Independence.

Fear.

Shame.

Old disappointments.

Old promises.

Old wounds.

The need to prove ourselves.

The need to repay everything.

The fear that receiving will make us weak.

Father…

teach us to open our hands.

🙏🏾

Give us discernment about who we trust.

Give us boundaries where boundaries are needed.

Give us courage where fear has isolated us.

Give us humility where pride won’t let us ask.

Give us freedom where shame keeps calling us burdens.

And give us grace to receive love without immediately trying to earn it.

Thank You for the people who come.

Thank You for the people who stay.

Thank You for those who carry what we cannot carry today.

Help us appreciate them without turning ourselves into debts they must collect.

And Father…

thank You for Jesus.

Thank You for grace.

Thank You that salvation isn’t a paycheck we earn.

Thank You that love moved first.

Teach us to receive what You give…

and then allow that love to transform how we love the world.

Amen.

❤️‍🔥🙏🏾

❤️‍🔥 BEFORE WE LEAVE THIS WEEK…

Beloveds,

We started with guilt.

I’m sorry I need you.

Then shame.

Something must be wrong with me because I need you.

Then fear.

What will I owe you?

Then vulnerability.

If I need you, you can hurt me.

Then performance.

If I’m not useful, will you still love me?

And now grace answers all of them:

Open your hands.

😭❤️‍🔥

You do not have to apologize for every need.

You are not your difficult season.

Healthy love isn’t a loan.

Trust can grow wisely.

Your usefulness is not your entire worth.

And genuine grace cannot be purchased.

So maybe our prayer after this whole journey can become very simple:

Father, teach me to receive love without fear, give love without control, and recognize the difference between the two.

And when somebody comes running because we need them…

maybe we stop saying:

“I’m so sorry you had to.”

Maybe we look at them.

Really look.

And say:

“Thank you for coming for me.”

😭❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

No apology attached.

Maybe that’s enough.

Maybe…

that’s receiving.

Unapologetically His.
Unapologetically yours.

One step. One step. One step. You are loved. You are NOT alone. Keep on being…YOU! ❤️‍🔥🌎

I’M NOT DISABLED. I’M ABLE, BELOVEDS. AND, SO ARE YOU! 👩‍🦽❤️‍🔥

I’M NOT DISABLED. I’M ABLE, BELOVEDS. AND SO ARE YOU! 👩‍🦽❤️‍🔥

Beloveds,

I have been thinking about the words we use to describe ourselves.

And today, I need to tell you what I see when I look at me.

I’M ABLE.

That does not mean pretending there are things I cannot currently do.

There are.

It does not mean denying that life changed.

It did.

It does not mean I don’t need assistance sometimes, accommodations sometimes, different tools sometimes, more time sometimes, or another person beside me sometimes.

I do.

But somewhere along the way, we started confusing needing a different way with having no way at all.

👀 Read that again.

Different is not less.
Assistance is not absence of ability.

Adaptation is not defeat.

And needing help does not erase what I CAN do.

I use a wheelchair. But, mostly, my trusty quad cane. I do. NOT feel bad about needing them

Still, I’m able. 👩‍🦽

I have had to relearn things I once did without thinking.

And, I’m able.

Sometimes my body requires creativity where it once required instinct.

Still able.

Sometimes somebody has to help me.

STILL. ABLE.

Because ability doesn’t disappear simply because it changes clothes.

Maybe I cannot do something the way I did before.

Okay.

Then the question becomes:

How CAN I do it now? 🔑

That question has changed something in me.

Instead of standing at the graveyard of everything that changed, I am learning to walk—roll, crawl, adapt, laugh, pray, improvise, whatever it takes—toward everything that remains possible.

And there is SO MUCH POSSIBLE. 🌳🍇

Beloveds, maybe somebody has spent too much time telling you what you cannot do.

Maybe life changed your body.

Maybe age changed your pace.

Maybe illness changed your routine.

Maybe grief changed your capacity.

Maybe circumstances changed the route you thought you would travel.

Maybe you need accommodations.

Maybe you need somebody’s hand.

Maybe your victory looks completely different from somebody else’s.

SO WHAT?!!

We are done measuring human worth by independence.

We are done treating help like humiliation.

We are done believing there is only one respectable way to move through this world.

And we are definitely done allowing the things that became difficult to introduce themselves as the definition of who we are.

No.

👓 Look again.

I am not a list of things that became harder.

I am a whole human being discovering new ways to live.

I am learning.

I am adapting.

I am creating.

I am loving.

I am writing.

I am laughing.

I am reaching.

I am recovering.

I am becoming.

I am planting. 🌳

I am eating the grapes. 🍇🤣

I am finding keys to doors I once thought were permanently locked. 🔑

And sometimes I’m rolling through those doors instead of walking through them.

BABY, THE DOOR IS STILL OPEN. 👩‍🦽💃❤️‍🔥

And yours may be too.

So don’t let anybody—including the frightened voice inside your own head—reduce your entire existence to what you cannot do today.

Ask another question:

WHAT CAN I DO?

Then ask:

WHAT CAN I LEARN?

Then:

WHAT CAN I ADAPT?

And finally:

WHO MIGHT I BECOME IF I STOPPED MEASURING MY FUTURE BY YESTERDAY’S METHODS?

Whew. ❤️‍🔥

Beloveds, ability comes in more forms than we were taught to recognize.

Sometimes strength stands.

Sometimes strength sits.

Sometimes strength runs.

Sometimes strength rolls.

Sometimes strength speaks loudly.

Sometimes strength struggles to get the sentence out—and finishes it anyway.

Sometimes strength does everything alone.

And sometimes the bravest, strongest words in the room are:

“I need some help.”

All of it counts.

So today I’m changing the emphasis.

Don’t look at me and only see what changed.

👀 LOOK AT WHAT REMAINED.

Better yet—

LOOK AT WHAT IS GROWING. 🌳🌳🌳

I’m able, beloveds.

AND SO ARE YOU. ❤️‍🔥

Now let’s find out what our able looks like.

One step.

One adaptation.

One grape.

One key.

One gloriously unconventional way forward at a time. 🔑🍇🌳👩‍🦽💃

Asking for A Friend,

STOP APOLOGIZING FOR NEEDING LOVE ❤️‍🔥😭

AUGUST 18, 2026

STOP APOLOGIZING FOR NEEDING LOVE ❤️‍🔥😭

Receiving Love When Guilt and Shame Tell Us We’re a Burden

Beloveds,

Some of us know how to give love.

We know how to show up.

We know how to pray for everybody else. Encourage everybody else. Check on everybody else. Carry everybody else.

But then life happens.

Illness happens.

Grief happens.

Disability happens.

Divorce happens.

Depression happens.

Financial trouble happens.

Job loss happens.

Age happens.

Exhaustion happens.

Plain old I cannot do this by myself today happens.

And suddenly, we’re standing on the other side of love.

We’re not giving.

We’re receiving.

And nobody warned us how vulnerable that could feel. 😭❤️‍🔥

Because sometimes somebody loves us beautifully—and instead of immediately feeling loved, we feel guilty.

They rearrange their schedule.

I’m sorry.

They come running.

I’m sorry.

They help us clean something up.

I’m so sorry.

They sit with us while we cry.

I’m sorry you have to deal with me.

They sacrifice something because we need them.

I’m sorry. I’m sorry. I’m sorry.

Beloveds…

When did “thank you for loving me” become “I’m sorry you had to”?

❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

There is guilt that belongs to accountability.

If we have harmed someone, we should acknowledge it. Apologize. Make amends where possible. Learn. Grow. Change.

But there is another guilt that has nothing to do with wrongdoing.

It comes simply because we needed somebody.

And sometimes shame joins it.

Guilt says:

“I shouldn’t need this much help.”

Shame takes it further:

“Something must be wrong with ME because I need this much help.”

Guilt says:

I’m causing trouble.

Shame says:

I AM trouble.

Oh, beloved.

Those are two very different statements.

😭❤️‍🔥

Maybe somebody reading this has been ashamed of needing help getting dressed.

Maybe you needed money.

Maybe somebody had to drive you somewhere.

Maybe you couldn’t take care of your children the way you normally would.

Maybe grief flattened you and somebody had to feed you.

Maybe your body changed.

Maybe your mind became exhausted.

Maybe you couldn’t work.

Maybe you needed somebody to sit beside you because being alone felt like too much.

Maybe you needed help with something so private that accepting assistance made you want to disappear.

Maybe you’ve whispered:

“I hate that somebody has to do this for me.”

I understand that feeling.

But I am learning something.

❤️‍🔥

Needing love does not make us unlovable.

And needing help does not automatically make us helpless.

Read that again.

HELP and HELPLESS are not synonyms.

Sometimes capable people need help.

Strong people need help.

Caregivers need care.

Encouragers need encouragement.

People who have spent years carrying everybody else occasionally become the person who needs carrying.

That doesn’t erase who they are.

It simply means:

Today, it’s my turn to be held.

😭❤️‍🔥

And maybe that’s why receiving can be so difficult.

Giving lets us remain in control.

When I’m giving, I decide what I give, when I give it, and how much.

Receiving requires something different.

Receiving requires trust.

I have to believe you when you say:

I came because I wanted to.

I’m helping because I love you.

You’re worth my time.

You’re worth rearranging things for.

You don’t have to earn this.

And sometimes our first instinct is to argue.

But I’m a burden.

But you’re tired.

But you shouldn’t have to.

But I should be able to do this myself.

Beloveds, what if we stopped correcting people’s math when they decide we’re worth the trouble?

😭❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

What if instead of:

“I’m sorry you had to come,”

we practiced:

“Thank you for coming.”

Instead of:

“I’m sorry I’m taking so much of your time,”

try:

“Thank you for giving me your time.”

Instead of:

“I’m sorry you have to help me,”

try:

“Thank you for helping me.”

Instead of:

“I’m sorry you have to walk through this with me,”

try:

“Thank you for walking through this with me.”

Do you see it?

The need didn’t disappear.

The sacrifice wasn’t minimized.

Nobody became entitled.

But shame left the sentence.

❤️‍🔥

Gratitude says:

“I see what your love costs, and I appreciate what you freely chose to give.”

That is different from guilt saying:

“Because your love cost you something, I must be a problem.”

NO.

Love has always cost something.

Time costs something.

Presence costs something.

Patience costs something.

Friendship costs something.

Family costs something.

Commitment costs something.

And yes—sometimes loving one another will inconvenience us.

That’s part of being human together.

Today I may need you.

Tomorrow you may need me.

And perhaps neither of us needs to keep a ledger.

❤️‍🔥

Scripture says:

“Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.”
— Galatians 6:2, KJV

Notice that Scripture doesn’t tell us only to become excellent burden-carriers.

If somebody is going to bear another’s burden, somebody somewhere has to be willing to let theirs be carried.

👀❤️‍🔥

We talk a lot about the holiness of helping.

Maybe we need to talk about the humility of being helped.

We celebrate the giver.

Maybe God is teaching some of us how to become gracious receivers too.

Because even our relationship with Him begins there.

“We love him, because he first loved us.”
— 1 John 4:19, KJV

He first loved us.

Before our response.

Before our repayment plan.

Before our performance.

Love came first.

Grace came first.

❤️‍🔥

So perhaps today we practice something that sounds tiny but may be enormous:

When love comes toward you…

don’t immediately apologize.

Notice the guilt.

Notice the shame.

Notice that instinct telling you to become smaller.

And then, if you can, open your hands.

Let somebody love you.

Say:

“Thank you.”

You don’t have to turn every kindness into a debt.

You don’t have to earn every hug.

You don’t have to repay every hour somebody spends beside you.

You don’t have to apologize for every season in which you cannot be the strong one.

And you certainly don’t have to apologize for being human.

❤️‍🔥😭

Somebody may need this tomorrow morning:

You are allowed to receive love at your weakest without believing weakness has become your identity.

You are allowed to receive help without calling yourself helpless.

You are allowed to be carried without deciding you have become a burden.

You are allowed to cry when somebody shows up.

You are allowed to discover that people love you more deeply than you realized.

And you are allowed to simply say:

Thank you for coming for me.

No apology attached.

No invoice.

No emotional bookkeeping.

Just gratitude.

Just grace.

Just love.

And perhaps this morning, instead of asking,

“How quickly can I stop needing everybody?”

we ask a different question:

“Can I become healthy enough to give love when I can, ask for love when I need it, and receive love when it comes?”

That’s not weakness.

That’s relationship.

That’s community.

That’s how we carry one another home.

❤️‍🔥

❤️‍🔥 THE CASSANDRA CHALLENGE

Today, catch one unnecessary apology.

Just one.

When you hear yourself apologizing simply because you needed something, pause.

Replace:

“I’m sorry…”

with:

“Thank you…”

Then notice what happens inside you.

It might feel uncomfortable.

That’s okay.

We’re learning.

Together.

🙏🏾 A MORNING PRAYER

Father,

Some of us are wonderful at giving love and terrified of receiving it.

Teach us.

Where guilt is appropriate, give us courage to make things right.

But where guilt is lying to us—where shame is telling us that our needs make us worthless, difficult, or unlovable—help us recognize the lie.

Teach us to receive the people You send.

Teach us gratitude without shame.

Dependence on You without embarrassment.

Community without keeping score.

And when somebody chooses to carry us for a while, help us resist the urge to apologize for every step.

Help us simply whisper:

Thank You, Lord.

And to those loving us:

Thank you for coming.

Amen. ❤️‍🔥

Daily Victory:
Today, I will not confuse needing help with being helpless.

Daily Love Challenge:
Let somebody do one kind thing for you today without immediately trying to repay them.

Receive it.

Say thank you.

And let love finish what it came to do.

Unapologetically His.
Unapologetically yours.

⛓️ FEAR DOESN’T OWN THE KEYS ANYMORE!💃🦵🦿🦾💪🏆❤️‍🔥🪽🙌👑

Beloveds,

⛓️ FEAR DOESN’T OWN THE KEYS ANYMORE

ME. HERE. NOW. FREE. ❤️‍🔥🌎

I need to tell you what freedom has been looking like lately.

It hasn’t looked the way I expected.

There were no trumpets.

No dramatic movie scene.

No moment when every problem disappeared.

There were tears.

There was sadness.

There was heartbreak. 💔

There was exhaustion.

There were bodily struggles.

There were bathroom messes.

There was receiving help when I desperately wanted to be the person who didn’t need any.

There was guilt because people I love rearranged things to care for me.

There were moments when recovery made ordinary tasks feel enormous.

There were moments I wondered what parts of ME were still mine.

And somewhere in the middle of all that…

something started breaking.

⛓️💥

Not me.

THE CHAINS.

Fear had been asking me questions:

What if you can’t?

What if life never looks the same?

What if people get tired?

What if you need too much?

What if your body embarrasses you?

What if tomorrow is difficult?

What if?

What if?

WHAT IF?

Then something changed.

I stopped believing fear was qualified to predict my future.

❤️‍🔥

“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” — 2 Timothy 1:7, KJV

And my freedom started showing up in ordinary places.

I received love.

I allowed people to help me.

I started learning that thank you doesn’t require an apology afterward.

I handled difficult body things without allowing them to define my dignity.

I laughed about things I once might have hidden in shame.

I ate an ENTIRE burger. 🍔😆

I watched YouTube.

I sang.

I folded clothes.

I prepared for tomorrow.

I chose something cute to wear.

And tonight I became so excited that I couldn’t find my glasses…

Beloveds…

THEY WERE IN THE GLASSES CASE.

👀👓😭🤣🤣🤣

Please celebrate responsibly.

But while you’re laughing with me, understand why I’m telling you.

I WAS EXCITED.

After everything—

I was excited about LIFE.

😭❤️‍🔥

And suddenly I realized:

Maybe freedom isn’t always dramatic.

Sometimes freedom looks like enjoying dinner.

Sometimes freedom looks like accepting help without shame.

Sometimes freedom looks like laughing at your body instead of hating it.

Sometimes freedom looks like folding laundry.

Sometimes freedom looks like singing to somebody you love.

Sometimes freedom looks like picking tomorrow’s clothes because somewhere inside you has begun believing:

THERE IS A TOMORROW I WANT TO MEET.

🏃‍♀️❤️‍🔥

Beloveds, I am not telling you I will never feel fear again.

That’s not what freedom means.

Scripture gives us something much stronger:

“What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.” — Psalm 56:3, KJV

Freedom doesn’t mean fear can never knock again.

It means:

FEAR DOESN’T OWN THE HOUSE.

Fear doesn’t get the keys.

Fear doesn’t get the microphone.

Fear doesn’t get the steering wheel.

Fear doesn’t decide whether I try.

Fear doesn’t decide whether I receive love.

Fear doesn’t decide whether I show up.

Fear doesn’t decide whether I dream again.

Fear doesn’t decide whether I laugh.

Fear doesn’t decide whether I live.

❤️‍🔥

“The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?” — Psalm 27:1, KJV

Some of you aren’t recovering from a stroke.

But you’re recovering from something.

A death.

A divorce.

A betrayal.

A diagnosis.

A failure.

A childhood.

A mistake.

A dream that died.

A relationship that changed.

A season you thought would destroy you.

Maybe fear has been running your house too.

Beloved…

ask for your keys back.

⛓️❤️‍🔥

You do not have to wait until fear disappears before you move.

Move afraid if necessary.

Speak afraid.

Apply afraid.

Go to therapy afraid.

Ask for help afraid.

Receive love afraid.

Try again afraid.

Rest afraid.

Begin again afraid.

“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me…” — Psalm 23:4, KJV

Notice the word:

THROUGH.

We aren’t required to decorate the valley and live there forever.

We move THROUGH.

Walking.

But THROUGH.

“Fear thou not; for I am with thee… I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee…” — Isaiah 41:10, KJV

And sometimes His help arrives through PEOPLE.

That one has been teaching me something.

Someone loving you does not automatically create a debt.

Someone helping you doesn’t automatically make you weak.

Someone rearranging something because you matter to them doesn’t require you to spend the next week apologizing for existing.

Sometimes love says:

Let me help.

And healing says:

Thank you.

😭❤️

“Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.” — Galatians 6:2, KJV

Sometimes we carry.

Sometimes we are carried.

And sometimes accepting the carrying is its own act of courage.

❤️‍🔥

So today I give thanks.

Thank You, Jesus/The Father.

Thank You for the tears I survived.

Thank You for the people who stayed.

Thank You for the love I am learning to receive.

Thank You for laughter.

Thank You for food.

Thank You for music.

Thank You for another outfit.

Thank You for another appointment.

Thank You for another opportunity to try.

Thank You for the parts of my body learning.

Thank You for adaptations.

Thank You for help.

Thank You for progress.

Thank You for HOPE.

Thank You that I am still ME.

And yes—

Thank You for putting my glasses somewhere so sensible that apparently I couldn’t locate them.

“O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.” — Psalm 107:1, KJV

Beloveds, perhaps your chain-breaking moment won’t look dramatic either.

Maybe today you simply make the call.

Eat the meal.

Take the shower.

Accept the help.

Put on something you love.

Laugh.

Cry.

Try.

Rest.

Plan something for tomorrow.

Whatever yours is—

DO NOT DESPISE THE ORDINARY EVIDENCE THAT YOU ARE COMING ALIVE AGAIN.

❤️‍🔥

“If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.” — John 8:36, KJV

FREE INDEED.

Not someday.

Not after perfection.

Not after every wound closes.

Not after everybody understands.

Here.

Now.

And if fear comes knocking again?

You don’t have to panic because you heard the knock.

You already know:

IT DOESN’T HAVE A KEY.

⛓️💥👑

Today I am:

HERE.

HOPEFUL.

LOVED.

READY.

FREE TO KEEP BECOMING.

FREE TO RECEIVE.

FREE TO LAUGH.

FREE TO LOVE.

FREE TO LIVE.

FREE TO BE ME.

And I want that freedom for YOU too. 🌎❤️

❤️‍🔥 THE CASSANDRA CHALLENGE

Today, identify one thing fear has been deciding for you.

Then do one small thing that says:

Fear, you don’t make this decision anymore.

Make the call.

Ask for help.

Accept the invitation.

Try the thing.

Schedule the appointment.

Wear the outfit.

Eat the burger. 🍔😆

Or simply prepare for tomorrow.

And tonight, thank Jesus/The Father for one ordinary sign that you are still becoming.

Because sometimes the chains don’t hit the floor with a deafening crash.

Sometimes you simply look around one day and realize:

I’M MOVING AGAIN.

👩🏾‍🦽💪🏾🦾🦿🦵🏾💃🏾🏃‍♀️⛓️💥❤️‍🔥

Stay in the fight, Beloveds.

We got this.

And fear?

I DON’T THINK SO.

AUGUST 16, 2026 — MY VOICE IS STILL MINE 🎤🧠❤️‍🔥

Updated…opps💩😆👀😍😎✍️

Beloveds,

Life can your voice without taking it away.

Read that again.

Because some of us have spent entirely too much time believing that if we cannot speak the way we once spoke, move the way we once moved, work the way we once worked, love the way we once loved, or live the life we once imagined—

then somehow we have become less ourselves.

Nah. 😎

I have something to say about that.

My voice is still mine.

It may hesitate.

It may repeat.

It may take the scenic route to a word that used to come running. 😆

Sometimes my mouth and my brain apparently hold separate staff meetings and forget to invite each other. 🧠🎤😂

But…

MY. VOICE. IS. STILL. MINE.

And beloveds, this isn’t only about stroke recovery.

Where did you lose your voice?

Was it in a relationship where keeping the peace meant keeping quiet?

Was it after somebody convinced you that your feelings were “too much”?

Did grief silence you?

Did rejection?

Trauma?

Failure?

Shame?

Age?

Illness?

Fear?

Did you spend years becoming whatever everybody else needed until one morning you realized:

Wait…where did I go? 👀

Maybe you weren’t physically silenced at all.

Maybe you simply stopped believing anybody wanted to hear you.

I understand that too.

But listen:

Your voice isn’t valuable because it is polished.

Your story isn’t worthy because it is pretty.

And you don’t need perfect words before you are allowed to speak.

Sometimes the bravest sentence you’ll ever say is:

“This is what happened to me.”

Then:

“This is how it affected me.”

Then eventually:

“And this is who I am becoming.” ❤️‍🔥

I’m learning my voice again.

Literally.

Some days words cooperate.

Some days they apparently have PTO. 😩😂

So I practice.

I read.

I speak.

I stumble.

I repeat.

I laugh.

Sometimes I cry.

Then I try again.

Because every word I fight for reminds me:

I AM STILL HERE.

And perhaps you’re relearning your voice too.

Maybe yours isn’t speech.

Maybe you’re learning to say no.

Maybe you’re finally saying I need help.

Maybe you’re learning to say I was wrong.

Maybe you’re learning to say that hurt me.

Maybe you’re finally brave enough to say I love you.

Or perhaps the sentence you’re practicing is:

“I deserve to participate in my own life.”

Say it.

Even if your voice shakes.

Even if somebody doesn’t understand.

Even if you need more time.

Even if you have to type it.

Write it.

Point to it.

Sing it.

Whisper it.

Communicate it however you can.

Your voice is bigger than sound. 🎤❤️‍🔥

And for those who share my faith, Scripture says:

“I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD.” — Psalm 118:17 KJV

Ohhhh, I like that one. 👀🔥

LIVE.

And DECLARE.

Apparently we’re not finished talking yet, beloveds. 😆🎤

So I’m going to keep finding my voice.

And while I do…

I’m reaching back for yours.

❤️ DAILY LOVE CHALLENGE

Listen—really listen—to somebody today.

Don’t prepare your answer while they’re speaking.

Don’t correct their story.

❤️‍🔥 CASSANDRA CHALLENGE — EXTRA CREDIT

Say one thing you’ve been afraid to say.

It doesn’t have to be dramatic.

Maybe:

I need you.

I’m proud of myself.

I’m sorry.

I’m scared.

I disagree.

I forgive you.

I need some space.

I want to begin again.

Find one sentence that belongs to you.

Then use it.

🏆 TODAY’S VICTORY

You don’t have to sound like yesterday’s version of yourself to still be yourself.

Changed does not mean erased.

Quiet does not mean powerless.

Struggling does not mean finished.

And needing time to find the words does not mean you have nothing worth saying.

🎬 And coming up…

We’re going deeper into finding our voices—through fear, grief, anger, accountability, love, recovery, changed dreams, and the messy business of becoming somebody we haven’t met yet.

Some of this may sting.

Some will make us laugh.

Some may make us cry.

Good.

We’re going there together. ❤️‍🔥

From my heart to and FOR your heart, beloveds. ❤️‍🔥

❤️ AUGUST 10, 2026 ❤️#TEACHMELOVE

WHEN LOVE ASKS ME TO LOOK IN THE MIRROR ❤️

For those who believe:

God, give me the courage today to look at myself honestly—not through shame, not through pride, not through the eyes of people who have misunderstood me, but through Your truth.

Show me the places where I need to grow.

Show me the places where I need to apologize.

Show me the places where I need to forgive.

And most of all…

teach me how to love.

Amen. ❤️

For those who don’t share my faith, here’s today’s invitation:

Take a deep breath.

Give yourself permission to look inward without beating yourself up.

You don’t have to believe in God to believe that growth begins when we’re willing to tell ourselves the truth.

❤️

Now let’s talk.

Sometimes we say we want love.

We want healthy relationships.

We want peace.

We want understanding.

We want people to communicate better.

We want people to apologize.

We want people to listen.

We want people to give us grace.

But here’s the uncomfortable question:

WHAT ABOUT ME?

Yep. Ack. Yikes.

I said it.

Because it is VERY easy to make a list of everything somebody else needs to change.

They need to communicate better.

They need to stop being so defensive.

They need to apologize.

They need to listen.

They need to stop bringing up the past.

They need to forgive.

They need to show me grace.

They need to understand me.

They need to change.

And sometimes…

WE’RE RIGHT.

Let’s not play.

Sometimes the other person really DID hurt us.

Sometimes we really WERE treated unfairly.

Sometimes somebody really DOES need to apologize.

But love asks us a harder question:

What part is mine?

Whew.

❤️

That question can humble you QUICK.

Because accountability doesn’t mean saying:

“Everything was my fault.”

That’s not accountability.

That’s shame.

Accountability says:

“This part was mine.”

Maybe I said something I shouldn’t have said.

Maybe I reacted instead of responded.

Maybe I was so busy trying to be heard that I stopped listening.

Maybe I was protecting my pride.

Maybe I wanted to win the argument instead of protect the relationship.

Maybe I kept score.

Maybe I brought up something from five years ago because I knew it would hurt.

Maybe I apologized…

but then followed it with:

“I’m sorry, BUT…”

Oooooh.

That little “BUT” has gotten a whole lot of us in trouble.

Because sometimes “I’m sorry, but…” isn’t an apology.

It’s a defense attorney. ⚖️

And I’m learning:

LOVE doesn’t require me to defend every mistake I make.

Sometimes love requires me to say:

“I was wrong.”

Period.

No paragraph.

No explanation.

No courtroom presentation.

No PowerPoint.

Just:

“I was wrong. I’m sorry. What can I do differently?”

❤️

THAT is accountability.

And accountability is not the enemy of love.

Accountability IS love.

Because if I love you, I should care about how my actions affect you.

And if I love myself, I should care about the person I’m becoming.

❤️‍

Here’s another uncomfortable truth:

Sometimes pride doesn’t look like arrogance.

Sometimes pride looks like:

“I shouldn’t have to apologize first.”

“They need to come to me.”

“I wouldn’t have done that if they hadn’t…”

“They started it.”

“I’m only reacting.”

“I have every right to be angry.”

“They should know what I need.”

“I shouldn’t have to explain myself.”

“I’ve already apologized once.”

“I don’t owe anybody anything.”

Now…

Before anybody throws a shoe at me…

I’m not saying you should accept disrespect.

I’m not saying you shouldn’t have boundaries.

I’m not saying you should apologize for things you didn’t do.

I’m not saying forgiveness means allowing somebody to keep hurting you.

I’m saying:

LOVE REQUIRES ME TO EXAMINE MY OWN HEART TOO.

❤️

I can’t demand accountability from everyone else while giving myself an exemption.

I can’t ask people to communicate with me while refusing to listen.

I can’t ask people to forgive me while keeping a permanent record of their mistakes.

I can’t demand grace while refusing to give it.

I can’t ask people to grow while insisting that I don’t need to.

And I can’t say:

“I love you.”

while repeatedly behaving in ways that tell you:

“Your feelings don’t matter to me.”

That’s not easy to hear.

But it is necessary.

Because we’re not just learning how to SAY love.

We’re learning how to DO love.

❤️‍

So here’s today’s challenge:

Before you make a list of everything somebody else needs to work on…

make a list of what YOU need to work on.

Not to shame yourself.

Not to beat yourself up.

Not to make yourself smaller.

But because growth requires honesty.

Ask yourself:

Where have I been defensive?

Where have I been prideful?

Where have I refused to apologize?

Where have I expected grace but struggled to give it?

Where have I demanded to be understood without trying to understand?

Where have I reacted instead of responded?

Where have I used anger to protect hurt?

Where have I kept score?

Where have I made excuses?

Where do I need to say, “I was wrong”?

And then ask the question that may change everything:

WHAT WOULD LOVE HAVE ME DO DIFFERENTLY NEXT TIME?

❤️‍

Not:

“What should THEY do?”

Not:

“How do I make them understand?”

Not:

“How do I win?”

But:

“What would love have ME do?”

That’s the HOW.

And baby…

we’re just getting started. ❤️‍

Because tomorrow, we’re going deeper.

We’re going to talk about what happens when you’re hurt—because loving well when everything is peaceful is one thing.

Loving well when your feelings are bruised?

That’s where the real work begins.

❤️‍

So if you’re willing…

come learn with me.

Not because I have mastered this.

I’m learning too.

Let’s stop pretending love is something we’re automatically good at.

Let’s learn it.

Practice it.

Mess it up.

Apologize.

Try again.

Grow.

And keep choosing love.

❤️

Because sometimes the most loving thing we can say is:

“I see what you did to me.”

And sometimes the most courageous thing we can say is:

“Now let me look at what I did to you.”

That’s not weakness.

That’s growth.

That’s humility.

That’s love.

❤️‍

Asking for A Friend,

Cassandra

#YourLifeMattersToMe

NOTE: Beloveds, I’m fighting ME this morning. I have to make the decision to go to the Skilled Nursing Facility. Ah, God this hurts. 😢

One step.

One step.

One step. You are loved. You are NOT alone. Keep on being…YOU!

❤️‍🔥 GOD, I’M SORRY. 😭😱

Beloveds,

WHEW!🤯

YIKES!🥶🥺

I had to apologize.

To God.

To my sister.

To my niece.

To my brothers.

And, if I’m being completely honest…

I had to apologize to myself, too. 🫠🤕🫤 WHEW. This one hurt.

Because sometimes God doesn’t ask us to look at what somebody ELSE did.

He asks us to look in the mirror. 👀 And baby… I HAD TO LOOK. 😳

For the past two years, I fought the people who were trying to help me because I was scared.

I was worried about bills.

I was worried about money.

I was worried about what would happen next.

So I worked. And worked. And WORKED.

I had already been killing myself at work for almost 14 years before my stroke.

Let me be very clear:

I am NOT saying my work caused my stroke.

A stroke may have happened anyway. But I can acknowledge that years of pushing myself beyond my limits, combined with my eating habits and other choices, certainly didn’t help me.

And here’s another thing I need to say:

The devil didn’t cause my stroke. I’m not giving the devil credit for everything that happens in my life.

Sometimes… we have to be honest enough to examine our own choices. And my biggest revelation?

I chose not to trust. 😳

I had been told repeatedly: “Trust God.” “Let God handle it.” “Stop trying to carry everything yourself.” “Let people help you.”

And what did I do? 🙈🙉🙊

I kept fighting. I kept trying to control everything. I kept trying to figure everything out.

I kept letting fear convince me that if I didn’t handle it, everything would fall apart.

And somewhere along the way… fear became louder than faith. And pride started driving the car. 🚗💨

Oh, I KNOW I’m not the only one who’s ever done that!

We say we trust God… until God asks us to do something we DON’T want to do. 😂😭

Then suddenly we’re like: “Okay, God… let’s negotiate.” NOPE. 😂

😂😂

My doctors have advised me that I need to spend some time in a Skilled Nursing Facility so I can become physically stronger, continue therapy in a setting where trained nursing staff can monitor me and quickly respond if something goes wrong, and allow my sister and niece to rest and get their lives back.

And there it was. My OUCH. 🤯😳🥺

Because accepting that help meant admitting: I cannot do everything myself. And that was hard for me.

VERY hard.

Because somehow I had turned my stroke into something that was ALL ABOUT ME.

But my stroke didn’t happen to only me.

It happened to EVERYBODY who loves me.

My sister was tired.

My niece was tired.

My brothers were tired.

My friends were tired.

The people who loved me were carrying pieces of this too.

And then my sister…

And honestly?

She had every right to be angry. I didn’t enjoy hearing it. Ohhhh NOOOO. 😬

But after I absorbed my deserved beatdown… I had to sit with it.

And that’s when God asked me ONE question:

“What were you—and what are you—SO afraid of?” 😳 YIKES.

That question stopped me. Because I had been so busy fighting everybody about what I thought I needed… that I hadn’t stopped to ask myself what was underneath all that fighting.

FEAR.

I sat with it.

I owned it.

And then fam and I had a four-hour conversation.

Four.

Hours.

We put our hearts on the table. ❤️

I’m going to keep the words of that conversation private because some conversations belong between the people who had them.

But I can tell you what I learned.

Sometimes accountability doesn’t feel good. Sometimes accountability feels like getting your whole house of excuses knocked down. 🧱💥

But accountability is NOT punishment. Accountability is an invitation to grow.

And here’s what God has been teaching me:

We do ourselves—and the people who love us—a tremendous disservice when we continually choose fear over faith.

Because fear doesn’t just hurt us.

Fear can make us resistant. Fear can make us stubborn. Fear can make us angry.

Fear can make us push away the very people trying to help us. Fear can make us confuse control with strength.

And pride?

Ohhhh, pride will have you fighting for your right to stay exactly where God is trying to move you from. 😳

Pride says: “I know what I’m doing.”

Faith says: “God, I don’t understand this, but I’ll trust You.”

Pride says: “I can handle it myself.”

Faith says: “I need help.”

Pride says: “I don’t want anybody telling me what to do.”

Wisdom says: “Maybe somebody else can see something I can’t see right now.”

Pride says: “I’ll figure it out.”

Humility says: “I need you.” And sometimes… the most faithful thing we can say is: “Okay, God. I surrender.” 🙏🏽

So yes… we have made a decision. I am going to the Skilled Nursing Facility.

Not because I’m giving up.

NOT because I’m weak.

NOT because my life is over.

And certainly not because fear gets the final word.

I’m going FOR MY OWN GOOD. ❤️‍🩹

I’m going so I can get stronger.

I’m going so I can focus on rehabilitation.

I’m going so trained professionals can help monitor me.

I’m going so my family can breathe.

I’m going so my sister and niece can rest.

I’m going because sometimes receiving help is not a failure.

Receiving help can be an act of love.

THAT brings me right back to what we’ve been talking about:

THE HOW OF LOVE. ❤️

Because love isn’t always somebody holding your hand and telling you everything is going to be okay.

Sometimes love says: “Baby, you’re wrong.” 😳

Sometimes love says: “We’re not doing this anymore.”

Sometimes love says: “You need help.”

Sometimes love gets angry because it’s exhausted from watching you hurt yourself.

Sometimes love has to tell you something you desperately don’t want to hear.

That’s love, too: Learning to RECEIVE that kind of love?

That’s part of the HOW.

So here’s my lesson for today:

❤️ HOW DO WE OWN OUR FOOLISHNESS?

1. Stop blaming everybody else.

Before asking, “Who did this to me?” Ask: “What part of this belongs to me?” Not ALL of it. Your part. Own YOUR part.

2. Name the fear underneath the behavior.

Ask yourself: “What am I REALLY afraid of?” Because anger may be covering fear. Control may be covering fear. Stubbornness may be covering fear. Pride may be covering fear. Find the fear. Then deal with the fear.

3. Stop confusing pride with strength.

There is nothing strong about refusing help when you need it. There is strength in saying: “I need help.”

4. Listen when people who love you tell you something difficult.

They may not always be right.

But don’t automatically dismiss them because you don’t like what they’re saying.

Sometimes the uncomfortable voice is the voice carrying the truth you need.

5. Apologize without adding a BUT.

Not: “I’m sorry, BUT…” No. Just: “I’m sorry. I was wrong.” Whew. That’s a hard sentence for some of us.

But it can be incredibly freeing.

6. Change the behavior.

Because an apology without changed behavior becomes another promise nobody believes.

If I say I’m sorry for fighting everybody who loves me… then I have to learn how to stop fighting everybody who loves me.

That’s the HOW.

7. Let humility have a seat at the table.

You don’t have to know everything. You don’t have to control everything. You don’t have to carry everything!

And you absolutely do NOT have to prove your strength by suffering alone.

❤️ So today I’m saying:

God, I’m sorry.

I’m sorry for the times fear became bigger than my faith.

I’m sorry for the times pride spoke louder than wisdom.

I’m sorry for the ways my resistance hurt the people who were trying to love me.

I’m sorry for making everything about what I was going through and forgetting that the people who loved me were going through it too.

And God… thank You for loving me enough to ask me the question I didn’t want to answer: “What are you so afraid of?”

Because sometimes the beginning of healing isn’t another person changing.

Sometimes… it’s us finally telling the truth about ourselves. ❤️‍🩹

And Beloveds… if you’re reading this and realizing that fear has been running YOUR life… don’t beat yourself up.

Don’t sit in shame.

Own it.

Ask the hard question.

Apologize where you need to apologize.

Receive correction.

Make the change.

And then…

MOVE FORWARD.

Because accountability isn’t about living forever in yesterday’s mistake.

It’s about learning enough from yesterday that you don’t keep repeating it tomorrow.

That’s what I’m doing.

I’m learning.

I’m surrendering.

I’m receiving help.

I’m getting stronger.

And I’m learning the HOW of love.

Including how to love the people who love me enough to tell me the truth. ❤️‍🔥

Now I’m asking YOU:

Have you ever let fear, pride, stubbornness, or the need to control something keep you from accepting help?

What happened when you finally had to surrender? You don’t have to tell us anything private. Just ask yourself:

“What am I so afraid of?”

Your answer might teach you something you desperately need to know. We’re going to keep learning this together.

The HOW of love.

How to give it.

How to receive it.

How to recognize it.

How to apologize.

How to forgive.

How to set boundaries.

How to listen.

How to humble ourselves.

How to love somebody enough to tell them the truth… even when the truth hurts.

❤️💞❤️‍🔥 Come walk this path with me.

Follow along, because we’re just getting started.

When Fear Comes Calling… Don’t Give It a Chair !❤️

Beloveds,

Today, fear knocked on my hospital room door. Egads!

Actually… it didn’t knock.

It barged right in.

The doctors believe I may have had another stroke. Those are words no one ever wants to hear.

My mind wanted to race ahead and imagine every possible outcome.

But I made a decision.✨

I absolutely refused to fear. ♀️

Now, don’t get me wrong…

Doesn’t mean I wasn’t scared.

Doesn’t mean I didn’t have tears.

Doesn’t mean my heart wasn’t pounding.

It simply meant that I refused to let fear become my decision-maker.

Instead… I prayed. ❤️

I asked God for HIS peace.

Then,  I did something even harder…

I stayed still.

BARELY!

But you know what?

Barely still… is still.

And, God met me there. ✨

Now let me tell y’all something…

There was this really kind… and yes… cute guy nurse. ⚕️

Y’all…

I looked at him and said…

“Will you hold my hand?” ❤️

Don’t judge me, beloveds! 🙄🥰😆

When you’re lying in a hospital bed and life feels uncertain, a gentle hand can remind you that you’re not alone.

So to my sweet nurse…

Thank you. 😊

Thank you for your kindness.😇

Thank you for your compassion.🤩

Thank you for helping bring a little peace into a very difficult day. 😘

Sometimes, God answers our prayers with miracles. ✨

Sometimes with peace. ❤️‍🩹

Sometimes through Scripture. ❤️

And sometimes…

He sends a caring nurse with a warm smile and a hand to hold. 🤩😍

Fear may have come calling… 🤯

But I never invited it to stay. 🤐

Instead…

I invited God in. ❤️

“When I am afraid, I will trust in thee.” — Psalm 56:3 (KJV) ✨ – paraphrase mine…

So if fear is knocking on your door today…

Don’t answer!🏠🧱

Answer faith. 💙❤️💞💯

Answer hope. 🤙

Answer peace. 🙌

Because fear doesn’t get the final word.🤨

God does!❤️🫡

With love always,

Asking for A Friend,

Cassandra ❤️

🌙 Rest Tonight… Tomorrow Still Holds Hope

Beloveds,

Good evening.

As this day comes to a close, I want to remind you of something that is easy to forget: you made it through today.

Whether today was filled with joy or weighed down by challenges, you are here. You showed up. You kept going. That matters.

Tonight, give yourself permission to set down the burdens you were never meant to carry alone.

Release the worries you cannot change. Let go of the guilt that has followed you through the day.

Forgive yourself for the moments when you felt you weren’t enough.
Today does not define your future. It is simply one page in a much bigger story.

Tomorrow brings fresh opportunities, new strength, and new mercies.

As you prepare for rest, may your heart become lighter, your mind quieter, and your spirit filled with hope.

Trust that healing often happens in the quiet moments, and sometimes the greatest act of courage is allowing yourself to rest.

🌙 Tonight’s Reflection for Me

“Today, I did the best I could with what I had. Tonight, I choose peace over worry, grace over guilt, and hope over fear. I will rest, knowing tomorrow is another opportunity to begin again.”

🌙 Tonight’s Reflection for You

“No matter what today looked like, remember this: you are stronger than you know, more loved than you realize, and tomorrow is a brand-new opportunity to rise.”

🌟 Evening Challenge for Me
Before I close my eyes tonight, I will think of three things I am grateful for and one victory I experienced today, no matter how small. I will end this day with gratitude instead of regret.

🤝 Evening Challenge for You
Before you go to sleep tonight, reach out to someone if they’re on your heart—or say a quiet thank you for someone who made your day a little brighter. Never underestimate the power of gratitude and connection.

🤍 A Message for Us All

As this day ends, let’s leave behind anything that steals our peace. Let us choose forgiveness over bitterness, gratitude over complaints, and hope over despair.

Rest well, knowing that tomorrow gives each of us another chance to love more deeply, encourage more freely, and live more intentionally.

Asking for A Friend,
