I have tried to break up with them many times. I tell them to go away. Yet they remain.
What do I do with these dreams that just won’t quit me? How can I convince them that I am not worthy of them? They seem not to care. They call me. They sing to me. They tell me that greatness is within me and awesome days are without.
My Dreams woo me. They know my name. They tell me there is so many things out there left for me. I want to believe that.
Every time I want to give up my dreams whisper for me to give them just one more try. I think I’ll try. One more time. How about you?

Note: Keep going. You can make it. Don’t give up on your dreams. Not just yet.
That’s what I told myself. I have been in the middle of a temper tantrum complaining about life. I was fussing about all the things that had happened to me. I had been laying it on thick.
Something in me rose up and told myself to shut up! I told myself to stop complaining and to do something.
I got up and did something….lol.
Sometimes you just have to tell yourself to shut up.
I was talking to my big sis about my plans to give up on my blog and Youtube channels. Stupid me. How dumb was that? What’s the point in taking away my slim and none chances? Dummy me.
At least, I still have a slim to none chance, right? SMH
I just stopped by to tell somebody to keep on keeping on. What’s the point in giving up? Then what? You won’t be any further than you are right now.
If we must lose, let’s make sure we lose in the arena, not in the parking lot!
I want to thank so much to commenter who encouraged me about my Youtube channel. It meant a lot to me.
She made me recall why I started the channel in the first place. I’m not looking to be successful. I’m looking to be a source of encouragement. Simple. As that.
The same way as I pop on here to encourage people. I love this blog. It encourages me. It makes me laugh. I plan on blogging until I have no more breath.
Dealing through these days of power has taught me a lot. Going jobless for more than a year has taught me so much about my worth. I am still me. A broke me, but me.
I have been able to use this time to really focus on what is important in my life. Life is so much more than money.
I will be glad to get back to work, but work has now been put in its proper place.
Never again will I allow myself to be burnt out to the point where I can barely get out of bed. Never again will I dismiss my own needs and push my dream to the side. Never again will I put myself last. Never again.
The football season has started. I’m going to enjoy me some football, some coffee and yelling at Mom in heaven.
We are all already successful. In our own way. We need to cut ourselves more slack.
I’m looking forward to my job interview on Wednesday. No matter the outcome. I will do my best. I will keep moving forward. I will keep looking up. I’m asking that you do the same. Be encouraged.

Note: If you’re going through a hard patch right now, know that she should come out on the other end successfully. You can. You will. Enjoy the rest of your day.
It’s time. Time you give yourself the credit you so richly deserve.
You fight. You love. You CARE.
Every day, you give your all. You do work, unseen. You give effort, unheralded.
Know this, beloveds: You ARE seen. Your efforts have NOT been in vain.
Keep on keeping on. This life is worth living. I know. I know. These past couple years have gotten to us all.
We SHALL overcome these times. We will. We just have to keep being about that thing called life.
I am looking at myself in awe. Who IS that strong, resilient woman? I wish I had met her years ago!
I’m doing my best not to focus on the outcome of my efforts. My efforts seem to keep adding up to A big fat zero. I keep asking God what am I doing wrong? I keep asking like what else it needs for me to give.
I keep asking God why in the world he left me behind after the tornado tore up everything. What am I supposed to be doing? Help me do that. I just want to do what life needs for me to do, that’s all.
I’m going to do my best to be proud of myself today. I will tell myself to take a bow. I have given my all. I have done my best. God help me to understand that is all that is required.
Let’s celebrate our try, beloveds.

Note: Be sure to get some me time in there this week.
I finally, FINALLY, got a legitimate job inquiry. I had to do an initial assessment. Then, had to do an A1 assessment, in hopes of getting in front of a live person, initially via phone.
To my dismay, I appear to have picked up a stomach bug or eaten something that had me running to the bathroom ALL day….geeeeez.
I need to complete my assessment.
I didn’t feel well. I shouldn’t have taken the assessment when I did. I wanted to get it over with.
I got it over with. It didn’t go well, or so I thought. I was filled with such disappointment. Could I take me a full year to get a legitimate chance to take an assessment.
I felt like a failure. I felt like a big fat zero. I didn’t feel like a hero. I didn’t feel as if I would ever win again. I felt like a loser.
I picked up my chin from the floor and began again. I applied to dozens more jobs. I was asked to take another assessment. Crap.
A week later. I will see. The congratulatory email advised me. I have passed the assessment. I thought I had failed. I was told to move on to the next assessment. This time fear went with me.
I hesitated to start the assessment. I did not want to fail. I did not want to experience yet another disappointment. They were just too damn disappointing.
I found the courage to try. I took the assessments. Now I wait. I’m satisfied. I did the best that way. That’s all I can ask for myself.
Don’t allow your disappointment to let you quit. Quitting cannot be an option. I had to tell myself to get up. I had to tell myself to keep looking up. I had to tell myself to keep moving forward.
What we experience in life is what we choose. I choose to keep believing in my try. I choose to keep believing in me. Action used to keep believing in the goodness of man. I choose to keep believing in love.
Life hurts sometimes. It’s also worth living. I just stopped by to encourage somebody. Starting with me. Be encouraged.

Note: Quitting can never be our option. We have much too much to do. Let’s go.
