Heart Check: Don’t let your pain be a pain.

Whew.

Whew!!

What a week!

Whew!!!

Painn surely can be a real pain, can’t it? Makes one want to lose one’s mind.

Thankfully, pain passes. IF, you allow it to. Most folk like to try and drown their pain. Or, at least try to get pain to quiet down, already! I must admit, I tried to drown mine, just a smidge, underneath a million packets of fruit snacks…lol.

Didn’t work.

I moved on to a mini tantrum.

Didn’t work.

I pouted, just a wee bit.

Didn’t work.

I play Mike Tyson’s Punchout.

Didn’t work.

I played Super Mario on Nintendo.

Didn’t work.

I went to work and pretended all was well.

Didn’t work.

I tried the dumbness of faking it til I made it.

Didn’t work.

I sat with my heart, asked her what she needed, listened, fed her scrambled eggs, listened to uplifting music, told God/Life/The Universe all about it.

Ah.

Aha!

Today, I am grateful. For, the sad, which helped me to process mom’s passing. For, the mad, which helped me release a whole lotta frustrations on some dishes and laundry. For, the discouragement, which helped me reach out to others, to encourage them to keep going. Mostly, for my try, who just will NOT, allow me to give up, on me.

Just checking on you, beloveds. Be sure and be good to you. No matter what you are going through, be good to yourself. Don’t be a pain, because you are in pain…lol.

Take care of you. Rest. The week has past. The weekend, is here. Enjoy your day. Embrace what happens, within it and within you. You don’t have to be perfection, to be loved. You are. You are not alone.

Be encouraged.
