Be productive, not anxious, in the waiting.

God: Wait on Me.

Me: I am.

God: Wait, PATIENTLY.

Me: How?

God: Do something productive while you wait.

Me: Like what?

God: Well, have you worked on your dream today?

Me: Well, no. I was waiting on You.

God: Waiting on Me to do WHAT exactly?

Me: Well…hhmm. YOU are supposed to help me bring my dreams into reality.

God: I am.

Me: Like how?

God: You have to wait and see. In the meantime, go do something productive, while you wait.

Me: You got jokes, I see…*pout*…

God: Hehe. Ikr…

I feel good. I got up. I got on with my day. I’m reaching out. I’m trying to grow. I’m trying to learn.

I don’t know what the future holds for me. I don’t know how much more of a future I have left.

I’m no longer consumed with thoughts of the future. I have today. How precious. I am going to do my best to squeeze every ounce of love from this heart of mine. I shall give it to you. I shall give it to as many as I can.

I’m not concerned, for one second, about being rejected. I will be rejected. So what? Someone is in need of love. I go! Who is going with me?

Stop trying to drive the car while you are building it.

I’m trying to be perfect, beloveds.

Worse, I’m trying to be perfect at things I have yet to learn. Silly, shortsighted me.

I feel as though I am trying to drive a car I am in the process of building.

Impossible. I know this. Still, I image my time is running out. I have to stop myself from hurrying.

Growth takes time. Learning takes time. Excellence takes time.

I may not make it. But, I refuse to rush the journey. I want to enjoy all the steps. Especially, the hardest ones!

I have really enjoyed getting up early, staying up late. My age grumbles a bit, though.😳🤨

I have parked the car. I am going to build it first…lol.

Be encouraged. Enjoy the journey. Even when the car breaks down and you have to wait on AAA.🤗🤣🎤

I’m learning to slow down. I’m learning to cut myself some slack as I learn to slow down. I’m learning. I think…lol.

I wonder if success will ever come for me. It seems soooooooo far away.

I made myself take off part of the day to enjoy some biathlon. I need to be sure to fit some “what the hooey” time in there and do absolutely nothing but eat Golden Grahams and watch nothingness.

Life is short. Cut yourself some slack as you wait on success.

Filling the other half:You Don’t Know

For the last year or so, beloveds, God has been helping me to learn about the cultures of other countries. This has been a wonderful journey!

I have enjoyed learning about folks from all over the world.

Today, I want to show you, through this song, a bit of my BLACK culture. Bear with me. Hear me out. Open your heart, just a smidge, and you just may be touched. Ah, beloveds, I hope…

Back in the day, the black church would have “testimony”. It’s where folk would stand up and share whatever blessing, breakthrough, good news etcetera and talk about what He had done for them and IN them.

Folk would listen and get all fired up, often hooting and hollering, as they rejoiced over said news. Doing so also served as an inspiration for folk who had been toiling over this or that.

Sharing helped all to know that they COULD make it through their hard.

We also “testify” through song. Through the songs we sing, through ones we listen to.

The song above is the singer’s musical testimony, if you will. It’s joyful. It’s hopeful. It’s delightful.

I DARE you to listen and see if you can refrain from tapping your foot or chair dancing, just a smidge…lol.

Disappointment happens. Turning dreams into reality is a daunting task. It requires a tenacity few are willing to have for themselves.

We fight to the death for others. We fold at ONE “no” when it comes to our dreams Smh. Do better, us!

I told myself to suck it up and get back in the game. I did NOT have time to sulk all day.

Filling the other half: It’s time for you to listen to your inner voice.

It’s time for you to listen to your inner voice, beloveds.

I love this song. It’s so freeing. Uplifting. Self-affirming.

So often, beloveds, we fill ourselves with the most hateful hate talk about ourselves.

We berate ourselves for not having reached the terribly unfair and IMPOSSIBLE goals of perfection we can NEVER reach.

We shall never be perfect. ALL we can do is strive for excellence. In all that we do. We will not always reach excellence.

There are days where mediocre is as far as our exhaustion will take us.

That’s okay. Just give 100 percent of the percentage of you that remains in your try.

Be sure to fill yourself with positive/motivating/uplifting thoughts.

I feel soooooooooooooo exposed.🫠😳

I am putting my dreams out there for the world to see, to accept, to dismiss, to ignore, to embrace. Yikes! Egads! Fresh hell!

The reaction, or lack thereof, has been underwhelming so far.

I can understand. I am one of billions. Who am I? Nobody, so far as society’s pecking order says.

Still, I have value. Now, I just have to keep putting myself out there to garner enough “value added”.

My why is not about making money. Having said that, my goal is to make money from the gift of gab/encouragement/tenacity that I have been blessed with.

Sooner or later, beloveds, sooner or later! Ah, God, when shall things spring open for me?!

Take the lessons, scoop out the good stuff. Don’t concern yourself HOW the message was delivered. The point is someone cared enough to stop, respond and let you know THEIR thoughts of your try.

The lack of response really used to get me down. Now, I use that as fuel. I try harder. I ask what else can I do to improve myself, my delivery, my message, my this, that and other things.

I’m getting stronger. I’m developing a thicker skin. I am gaining deeper perspective and understanding. How great is that?!

Be encouraged. In case no one has told you today: I love you. So does He.
