I have been watching a wonderfully entertaining British television show about folk trying to save their businesses.
The main obstacles have been an unwillingness to let go of old things, old ways of thinking, old this, that and everything.
Everyone wanted to stay in their comfort zone. Yet, everyone wanted change/new/different.
No one wanted to compromise. No one was willing to set aside pride/ego to make NEW tradition(s).
I think on why I didn’t move beyond my comfort zone years ago…
I was much like those folk: Stubbornly clinging to traditions long passed their usefulness. I had grown. Life had moved on. I needed to move on with it.
I stayed the same. Holding onto tradition and doing things “that way” simply because that’s the way things had always been done.😳
I’m learning to make new traditions. Don’t be afraid to start a new, beloveds. It’s part of life to do so.
