The following, unfortunately, is based upon a true story. Smh:

Where are they?!

WHERE ARE THEY??!!

*Cassandra tore around the apartment looking for her glasses*

*Cassandra looked everywhere. EVERYWHERE I’M TELLIN’ YA!….😱 screams of agony and despair could be heard all over the 🌎 world.*

*Cassandra screamed so loud she woke The Universe who came to investigate the who did its and find out why*

The Universe: What in the fresh Tarantino is going on here?!

Me: I can’t find my 👓 glasses! I ALWAYS sit them on my table when I am up and don’t need them!…*stamps foot*.

The Universe: What do you do with them when you go to sleep?

Me: I put them in their case, of course(Cassandra discreetly rolls her eyes at The Universe who knows, full well, she keeps her 👓 in their case when she lays down so as NOT to lose them).

The Universe: Forgive the obvious, didn’t you just waken from an afternoon nap?

Me: Well, yea…

The Universe: (arching an eyebrow) Well? Give it a minute. It will come to you.

*Cassandra went and collected her 👓 from their customary spot in their case*.

I just stopped ’round for a quick hello and reminder to think before getting lippy with The Universe!😁🥰🧓🤗😂

Nope.

We ain’t falling for it.

We aren’t going for the okie doke!

People are running around everywhere trying to get us all in a hoopla. Everything is crashing. Everybody hates everybody else. We will not overcome all of that is going on.

Chaos reigns in fear. Chaos NEEDS fear to survive.

Nah fam, we don’t have time to waste on lies and foolishness.

Life truly is what we ALL make it. We ALL get the opportunity to shine a light, to be a light, to make a way, to BE the way.

Let’s not fall for the old trick of division and fear. Let’s come together and talk to one another. Let’s find time common ground. Let’s decide we’re not going to waste our lives screaming yet the television and our phones.

I have done away with doom scrolling. I rarely use the social media apps except to post positive videos and messages. Life is much too short.

I just stopped by to let you know how much I love you care about your life. Turn off the phone and talk to your neighbor. Get outside for a walk. Stop living in a silo. Enjoy the stars. Enjoy the fresh air. Enjoy your life since you only get one of them. Take care.

Note: There are days when all we have the strength to do is try just a little bit. Just getting out of bed is a real effort. But that’s okay. Life can be that way. In the meantime, keep doing the best that you can. It’s all that life requires of us.

Keep trying. The best is yet to come for you and me.

I am FINALLY learning that I truly am more than what I have or will produce in life. Just because my finances are a wreck, from lack of being able to find a job yet in this wrecked economy,  does NOT mean I am a wreck. I have taken cared of myself, financially, for the last 50 plus years years. It has been terribly disconcerting to find myself lacking.

This time WILL pass. I want it to pass with me being a better me. This time has shown me how precious life is. How fleeting moments are. Lasting ones.

Life is more than a paycheck. So much more.

Be encouraged, beloveds. If you find yourself in a wrecked stage of life. You are NOT being punished. Pushed? Certainly. Extended? Absolutely. Challenged? Undoubtedly.

In the meantime, enjoy your day. As shall I.

Running on empty.

I am running on empty. I am running out of encouraging things to say. Okay, I’m not but it just feels like it. I’m tired of the same old, same old. I’m ready for change. I’m ready to be doing something different. I’m tired of this limbo I find myself in this last year.

I wonder if people get tired of my rah rah messages every single day?

The Universe told me to rest today and watch some action movies. Yet I find myself here. I wonder if anyone else is running on empty these days.

There has been 14 confirmed two tornadoes in my state these past few months. Exhausting. Overwhelming. Depressing. Discouraging. It feels like they would never end. I know they will eventually.

In the meantime, It’s important that we take care of ourselves. It’s important that we allow ourselves time to refresh and to refill. I think I will go find some movies to watch. I need a hero today. I don’t have the strength to be my own hero. I hear popcorn calling. Who wants to join me?

Make sure to take care of yourself. There is only one you. Summer will be upon us soon. Enjoy your day. Enjoy your life the best that you can. Remember all the things that you still have.

Remember that you are more than what you do or what you have. I have to remind myself of it every day.

Thankful for the hard times.

I’m thankful today. Thankful for all the hard times. These hard days are forcing me to move beyond my fears. These hard days are forcing me to take my old age and run into the future.

These hard days are making me acknowledge my strengths and weaknesses. These are days are challenging me to my core. I am thankful for that. There are days when I wish I would have chosen the easier path of hiding in my comfort zone. I could do that all day.

I think about my old job and how easy it was. Then I think about the sadness I carried in my heart all day, as I wished I would have pursued my dreams. I don’t have that sadness now. I feel joy.

Yes, I’m anxious because I don’t have a job and don’t know how I’m going to meet my needs. I try not to focus on that. I do my best to focus on what I have currently. Can’t do my best to encourage as many people as I can every day. I do my best to keep myself encouraged. I remind myself that this too shall pass. It will.

Be encouraged, beloveds. Your hard won’t stay hard forever. Keep doing the best that you can. You are building a legacy. Be proud of your try.

My 56 is wondering if I will have a 57. 60 seems much too close for comfort.

I do NOT want to leave this world without having fulfilled my whatever in the fresh hoohah I am supposed to. Ack.

I wonder if I will be asking this question 50 years from now. One can dream, eh?
