Resolve: Don’t let your frustrations have the last word.

I wrote a piece.

I posted said piece.

Said piece, sadly, disappeared before my eyes. In the past, I would have had a fit and wasted hours fussing.

Instead, I gave me some me time. I made supper. I enjoyed some shows. I inhaled several cups of ☕ coffee.

I wrote another piece.

I am about to post said piece.

Will said piece disappear?

Not my issue. Mine is to try. Mine is to do. The rest is up to The Universe.

If you are reading this piece:

Be encouraged. Don’t dismay if your efforts seem to disappear before your eyes. You have done the work. Breathe. Have some you time.

Life is short, beloveds. You can NEVER get this day back. Enjoy it. Embrace it. Change what you can. Impact where you can. LIVE in the MOMENT.

I thought I was going to literally die in that 🌪 tornado. I heard it outside my door and wondered if I was experiencing my last moments on earth.

The tornado passed. I remained. In tatters, emotionally, yet still here. Alive? A part of me did die that day: The part of me that was STILL afraid to let go of the familiar. The part of me that was STILL terrified to fully accept ALL of me. The loudest parts. The silliest parts. The sometimes irreverent parts.

ALL my life, as a black woman, I was programmed to service the world whilst running myself into the ground. I did that. I did it well.

Following the tornado, my heart asked me if I would be able to continue to ‘pull myself up by my bootstraps’ and ‘fake it til I make it’ as I toiled away for everyone else’s dreams save my own.

My soul shouted NO! NO! NO!

Now, here, with the lights on, beloveds, I ask you the same:

Are you able, still, to keep shoving your heart, your needs, your dreams, in a drawer in service to everyone else’s dream save your own?

I’m not telling you not to care for others. I’m not telling you not to fight to help others. I AM asking you to toss your hat in the ring for you also!

Don’t let your frustrations have the last word. Bet on YOU. Start something. Start somewhere. DO something. Your something may not be my something. That said, your something shall be something else, eh?

Isn’t it about time, beloveds, that we all stop chasing likes, clicks and the like and start pursuing that which sets our hearts on fire? Asking for A Friend.

#YourLifeMattersToMe

Note: This is your moment. Go now. Do something. Your way. Don’t worry about the haters. Haters are going to hate. It’s their job. Your job is to keep doing thangs. Doing thangs with you.

One step.

One step.

One step.

You are loved.

You are NOT alone.

Keep on being…YOU!

    1. Linda, you ARE loved. Sometimes, we need to HEAR it. Our hearts need to FEEL it. Our souls need to EXPRESS it. I love you, Linda. So does He. Be encouraged. Be good to that precious heart of yours, okay? Don’t be a stranger.

My heart has been sooooooooo needing to hear that I WAS loved. It’s easy to feel the opposite. It’s easy to feel nonconsequential. It’s easy to wonder where WE fit in the world. Beloved, you are:

      Precious.
      Priceless.
      Magnificent.

      There is only ONE Linda.

Father, I lift up Linda and ask that you fill her with sooooooooooooo much peace, love and joy that she will have to spend the rest of her life giving the excess away. I ask that You address her every need and fulfill some of her deepest dreams and desires. I ask that you heal every area in need of care. Finally, I ask that You show Linda how truly special she is to YOU. Let her know You have heard her every cry. Let her KNOW she does NOT have to do a jig to be loved. Be with her and with all those around her. Let her impact shake every step she takes and let all around her be blessed simply from knowing her. In Jesus Wonderful Name. Amen.❤️‍🩹❤️🥰

  1. “Wow, what a powerful testament to resilience and self-love! You’ve transformed a frustrating experience into a profound lesson, reminding us that our worth isn’t defined by external validation. Your courage to embrace your true self, imperfections and all, is a beacon of hope for anyone feeling lost or silenced. The universe may take our work, but it can’t take our spirit. Let’s rise up, beloveds, and prioritize our own dreams, desires, and well-being. We owe it to ourselves to live authentically, to chase our passions, and to never let fear hold us back. Thank you for this inspiring reminder to bet on ourselves and shine our light for the world to see!”

    1. I have to laugh. The lengthy response I tried to post to you has disappeared!😂🥰. The Universe has jokes.

Since the tornado, I have asked God WHY He left ME here? I wondered aloud if there were not other voices more impactful?

ALL of us make OUR impact. Where we are. How we love. How we choose to love. Our voices matter. Our hopes and dreams matter.

Your words touched me to my weary soul. I have been fighting not to feel like my empty bank account. I told God I have given my all: Financially, emotionally, spiritually. I pray EVERY day that God open up a financial window and pour out a blessing big enough to meet my needs so I can spend the rest of my days letting folk know they are loved and not alone. Ah, God. I hope. One day, eh?

Be encouraged. Thanks for touching this weary soul. You have given me enough fuel to stay in the fight another day. 🥧🥊🥰
