Yesterday was hard. The day before that was a complete disaster! No one could understand me. I could not form a complete thought.
In frustration, I utilized my ” phone a friend option and 📞 called a friend.
I cried. I cried some more. She listened. She didn’t offer to make the call for me. I chose to give myself permission to put hard down for the rest of the day and try again the next day.
Next day, I tried again. It took a thousand calls and a year’s worth of aggravation but I got the job done.
Then, I did not want to get up, get dressed, and get outside for walking. It was 🔥 hot. Already! Still, I got up, got dressed, and kept it moving. My Physical Therapist offered to let me only do one lap
I did NOT take the out. In fact, beloveds, for punishment, I made myself walk farther!
I told myself that I would NOT give myself an out. I chose to try. I had no idea how much I could do. I ended up walking almost 950 feet
For me, those 950 feet may as well have been ten miles. Whew. As I walked I was cheered on by a neighbor was on a walk of her own
I didn’t feel disabled. For the first time, beloved, I felt 👍 👌 like me.
Legally, I am now classified as disabled.
Yet, I AM able. I am capable. I am ready. I am more than a conqueror!
We must hold ourselves accountable. Stop giving yourself an out! There are no excuses. There are no victims here. Choose to try. Give it your 👌 best effort, okay 👍?
