I love, love, love watching Japanese cooking channels!
I love how the owners of the little shops get up super early to prepare for the day.
Chopping vegetables.
Making homemade noodles.
Scrubbing down tables.
Preparing fresh grease for tempura.
Cutting up meat for various meals.
Preparing soup for udon π noodles.
I realize it takes quite a long time just to get one meal prepared. We sit down for a meal and want it quick, fast and in a hurry.
How often, beloveds, do we take into consideration how long it takes to prepare a meal? I know I don’t think too much on that. I just want my food. Hot. Well prepared. Right now!
The last few years have been teaching me that preparation takes an awfully long time. I’m trying to be good with that. I’m better. Still, there are times when I wanna tell life to just hurry up already and get me my plate.
I want to be there already. I want to be experiencing the change already. I want..
Hang in there beloved. We are being prepared for greatness. Do you have been uprooted so that we can be planted in larger soil. We have outgrown where we were. We are being prepared for where we have yet to go. In the meantime, hold fast.
Don’t give up. Not just yet.

Note: Bing uprooted has been a pain in the hoo-hah. It has been inconvenient. It has been no fun. Not for one second. I was not ready for the upheaval. Damn it, I was just not ready!
Still hard times came anyway. I will be so grateful when I can speak of these moments in the past tense. I have gone through truly difficult things before. I will find my way through this. fresh hell!
I am praying for all of us. I am hopeful some of us will make our way to our dream soon. Maybe it will be you. Maybe it may be me. One can hope. I hope. I hope for you.
One step.
One step.
One step.
You are loved.
You are NOT alone.
Keep on beingβ¦YOU!
If this piece encouraged you, share it with someone please/thanks.

Being uprooted is a huge pain in the hoo-hah, amen. I’m going to keep this dinner analogy in mind the next time I want to beat myself up about not being “where I think I should be,” by now. β€

Be encouraged, Shannon. You are EXACTLY where you are supposed to be. EVERY step you have taken, EVERY deed not done due to fear, EVERY frustrated tear shed, EVERY wrong turn taken, EVERY dumb thought or deed has been taken into account. These things have helped bring out who you π― are. The goal will NEVER be the fulfillment of the thing. The journey is the entire point.
When the tornado πͺ was the loudest, when I literally die not know if I would make it out of the bathroom, I wasn’t thinking of π΅ money or unfulfilled goals. My only thought was to talk to fam and reach out to folk on my blog. To let folk know life is short. LIVE. Don’t wait. You don’t need to have a tornado visit to LIVE. Reach out to folk. Take a chance on YOU. Asking for A Friend.
