Living with chronic things: Your limitations do NOT have to limit you.

I have been fighting with vertigo for years.

Unsuccessfully. Frustratingly. Resignedly.

We have become reluctant roommates. We tolerate one another. We fuss with one another.

The one, is forever trying to gain the upper hand, over the other.

There are days, when I raise my hand, in victory. There are other days, when vertigo stands, victoriously, over me. Satisfied.

I used to be terribly discouraged by this. That is no longer true.

The older I grow, the more I understand that limitations do NOT have to limit me.

I can maneuver around them. I can incorporate them into a SUCCESSFUL, JOYFUL, and INSPIRED day.

Life is what WE make it, beloveds. WE choose if we are going to enjoy our day. WE decide if we are going to be a light.

WE determine if we are going to allow chaos to enter and reign in our lives.

Contrary to popular opinion(s), neither Tiktok nor what political party can/does rule our lives, our thoughts and our actions.

WE do that. I don’t say this to lecture. I say this as a reminder, to me first, that we are not some hapless, hopeless dimwits who are being led around by the nose.

Knowing this, we have to have the courage to take the reigns.

Don’t despair over your limitations. You can be, have and do as much, or as little, as you CHOOSE and ACT on. Simple as that.

Currently, vertigo and I are in a death match over who will control the rest of my day. I am going to enjoy my day, regardless.

I just stopped by to encourage someone to keep on keeping on. Starting with me.

Have an amazing rest of today.
